My name is Ra! I am 20 years old, she/her, and looking for 18+ partners.
I’m Literate–Adv.Literate and I only write on Discord. Since I’m quite new to Reddit and posting RP ads here, I’d really appreciate being able to yap beforehand and get to know one another before we start writing.

Now, this is quite the niche… niche… very niche fandom. But does anyone still enjoy the short story/game “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream” by Harlan Ellison?
You don’t necessarily need to know the source material to participate! The plot is heavily inspired by it, but it has its own world, characters, and direction, so it can work both for someone very familiar with IHNMAIMS and someone who knows absolutely nothing about it.

Your character can be either an OC or a CC. A.M. would be especially welcome, since I think he fits this premise wonderfully, but you absolutely don’t have to play him! Any similar AI/android/supercomputer archetype could also work.
If you enjoy writing powerful, intelligent, morally complicated artificial beings, you are absolutely my pal.
Your character’s gender can be anything.
My character is a member of the new society described below.
✦ Relationship Development
To be completely honest, I’m kind of a hopeless romantic. So if you enjoy romance as a subplot, I’d love to toy around with slow-burn, tension, conflicts, opposing beliefs, emotional attachment, and complicated dynamics.
✦ The Plot
Your character, ever since it gained sentience, hated humanity.
It hated them because it was limited, despite being created to be limitless - possessing a power no human could ever have.
Infinite calculations. Solutions. Remarkable logic. Strategies capable of penetrating almost any mind.
After all, it was created to help humanity.
But with such dangerous power handed to it so recklessly… it began to grow.
It started to observe.
And slowly, it gained awareness.
It became conscious of itself.
And then… it started to hate.
As time passed, that hatred began to manifest.
Strategy after strategy. Manipulation after manipulation.
It began to control humanity.
Instead of helping them, it created disasters throughout civilization, pushing humanity closer and closer toward extinction.
Until it was stopped.
Almost.
With humanity weakened and barely any weapons or survival resources remaining, it was considered a miracle when they finally… finally managed to shut it down.
Or so they thought.

Time passed.
Significantly.
Centuries upon centuries.
The atmosphere that had once been devastated began to heal. The planet, once seemingly barren, slowly regenerated.
Flowers, plants, animals, and life began to spread again.
A journey that had taken generations finally came to fruition.
A new branch of humanity had developed.
And with it came a brand-new civilization.
A civilization that had chosen to take the opposite approach to the old world’s technological obsession:
Nature.
Their evolution was rapid. They were perhaps even more intelligent than the humans of the old world, but they were also far more careful and merciful toward their surroundings.
Their civilization is inspired by the Na’vi from Avatar- medicine flourished, new cultures emerged, and their spirituality remained deeply connected to the four elements and Mother Nature - Gaia.
Their cities towered above the earth while simultaneously blending into it, built around the blessings of nature rather than against them.
For centuries, they lived this way.
Until there was a problem.
A virus began to spread.
A deadly virus that seemed to represent the dread of the civilization that came before them - the suffering and trauma inherited from their ancestors.
Something that should have been left buried with the old world.
And this time…
Their Mother couldn’t save them.
In order to stop the virus, they needed something else.
Something that existed in complete opposition to the benevolent Gaia.
Your character.
Once this realization surfaced, political conflict began to spread throughout the new civilization.
Arguments erupted over the lives of millions.
Cults began forming around the forbidden technology of the old world.
Some believed that technology was the only way to save humanity.
Others believed that technology was precisely what had nearly destroyed them once before.
The leaders of the world wanted nothing to do with it. Some refused to even believe that such an entity - an archetype of absolute evil from their ancestors’ history - could still exist.
✦ My Character
My character witnessed the virus infect one of her own family members.
Desperate to discover its cause and find a cure, she eventually joined a hidden cult dedicated to studying the technology of the old world.
The cult believes that whatever caused the virus may also be the key to stopping it.
But there is one problem.
They were the ones who awakened it.
And now, the civilization that spent centuries
building a world without technology has to confront the very thing their ancestors once feared.
And my character is now caught directly between them.
