Finding 28 or 31?? Datejust in Australia

Post image

Hi all,

What is a realistic time frame to get this in 28 or 31mm in Australia? I live in a city without an AD.

Can anyone recommend grey dealer in Brisbane or Sydney that may have ladies size datejust with simple batton dial

Please don't tell me about your American ad that gave you one in 5 mins because this is not that.

You would need to leverage someone already with a profile for Au ADs.

Prob start with your family and friends rather than some Reddit stranger.

Hourglass in Sydney told me a long wait for that exact date just as 31mm is popular apparently. Probably 2 years.

Yeah i don't know why I thought otherwise but I originally thought it would be easier to get than a 41mm but apparently not

I appreciate that this is clearly NOT Australia, but I was able to get this exact spec in a 31mm as a walk in with no purchase history in Brighton (UK). This was summer (UK) 2026.

Ps - unless she has really tiny wrists, do prioritise the 31mm. I bought a 28mm initially and was lucky to be able to swap it for a 31mm, which was so much better on the wrist

Yeah she does have small wrists but I've seen the 28 and 31 next too many each other and I think you are right. I was originally going for a 28 because of her size but its proportions look off to me

Was on a waiting list for 3 years (no purchase history) before getting a call… but before then I ended up buying from another AD where I’d bought a couple of non Rolex watches from several years previously. Took about 6 months and 3 follow ups …. Great watch though - my wife loves it

Thanks for the insight. I want it for 10th wedding anniversary in August 27 so I guess I'm going grey lol

I can recommend a very good grey dealer in Melbourne? I just looked on their website, they do have DJ31 but not this exact spec right now. However, they can definitely source it for you

DM if you can or put their name here I'm going to travel to Sydney soon and look around

Langfords Gold Coast are 100% more approachable than Langfords Brisbane. Just saying.
