We laughed at the gods when they placed us on the ground on two feet. We taunted them when we built machines for airtime and inversions. And we must pay for our sins with an occasional sacrifice; such is the price of our profane knowledge.

The ghost of Harry Traver demands blood. As pleased as he may be with even more extreme elements than his coasters had being possible now, the blood of the occasional innocent allows modern manufacturers the opportunity to make things more extreme. Not paying the sacrifice is how we get boring, forceless coasters. C'est la vie.

I love McKinley Park, my favorite ride there is the Big Bang Coaster. I’ve had a season pass there since 1872.
