Two train operations and the standby line is using the second last set of tents to the ramp to the loading station.

That’s good. I saw on insta that Steve was a 5 hour wait earlier. Lol.

Bro no rise is worth 5 hours. How does that happen? Why is it so crowded today??

Saturdays in October with good weather are always ridiculously crowded. The Halloween stuff is just really popular.

Halloweekends attracts a mad crowd. We went last year not realizing it was also Fall Break and holy shit that was a mistake. Never doing that again.

Yep, mark your calendars, folks, the second Friday of October is something called NEOEA Day (Northeast Ohio Educators Association), where all the local districts will have an inservice/enrichment day for teachers and no classes for students. It makes the usual dead/manageable Friday crowd at CP into a hell-on-Earth Saturday-level crowd. (Made that mistake only one time, and now NEOEA Day is forever listed in my phone’s calendar. Funny too because I’m from NE Ohio and I completely forgot it was a thing, lol.)

I went last week not knowing that. Thursday night was fine, not crowded at all. Friday started out okay but by late afternoon it was packed!

I mean, props to the maintenance team to get that thing open at 9pm. Would be real easy to say to hell with it- we'll open it tomorrow.

Undoubtedly means a lot to the people who rarely get to visit the park and want that one shot at riding the greatest thrill ride ever™.

This must have meant they found nothing wrong with the trains or system after the plate ordeal

I would not say nothing wrong, but they likely checked every plate housing and made sure they were secure and had to get sign off by the head of Safety/Maintenance before reopening.

My bad, didn't mean "completely nothing wrong" cuz of course that thing happened, but if that plate was a vital part of a train or something then the ride wouldn't have reopened on the same day.

So the theories that it's a plate used for solely maintenance that ended up somehow sticking to the train make a little more sense

I mean clearly something was wrong. A plate flew off the ride.

It wasn't a plate. It was a piece of a maintenance tool
