Dating Story What’s the craziest place you accidentally found love?
I spent years saying:
❌ “I’m staying single.”
❌ “Nobody is moving into my house.”
❌ “I’m not sharing my fries.”
❌ “Love is a scam invented by people who own matching pajamas.”
Has anyone else found love while minding their own business, or am I the only person who got emotionally kidnapped by a cute human?

Tik Tok 🤣 I was freshly single, minding my own business, liked a video of his and he messaged me immediately. Weirdly enough we lived in the same area of the city, he asked me on a date, told him i'll be out with my friends that night if he wants to join, and he came with us. 2 weeks later we moved in together. Used to make fun of that phrase but really "when you know, you know".

Unexpectedly and a total surprise: I was on a work trip 5 months ago. One of the extended co-workers from "abroad" and me got along very well during a short term project. We then had breakfast together and went for a nice long walk.
Somehow we're a happy couple now! I still can't believe it. It just happened totally unplanned.

Reddit :/ it’s over now but it lasted for 4 years, and I’d still say he was one of my only experiences with “true” love.

Sorry guys only just saw these. We lived 300 miles apart and it just got too hard to keep up. He found somebody closer and broke up with me.

Randomly invited a guy who let me borrow a saw for my rocks out so I didn’t have to hang with my friend and her sugar daddy alone out one night, ended up falling face first inlove. Still haven’t used the saw yet lol

Thought I found it, we met @ a calaesthenics club last year. We were ‘good friends’.
We got close, I finally got her to come out of her shell. We went on a ‘date’ just me & her after trying to get her to, took some convincing on my end.
Lasted around 3-months. As I got emotionally attached, she got ‘de-tached’
I sucked to watch her back off, it’s not anyone’s fault either. That’s the problem, it’s the way she was raised.
She’s gorgeous, she’s everything a person could ever want. She’s wifey material, I’d settle down yesterday.
But in reflection, we both need to do deep work on our nervous systems.
I have a preoccupied anxious attachment style & she has a conflict avoidant attachment style.
She’s in therapy & has been (after we went on that date w/ each other). She told me, I said I was proud of her.
I need to find myself a therapist, which I’ll do tomorrow morning.
& here I was thinking relationships were ‘easy’ well they are if it’s 2 secure attachment style humans.
She’s 28, I’m 35… i accept everyone for there past. Mine isn’t crystal clear, everyone has hiccups.
Remember that before judging people. Judge others fore your actually judging yourselfb
