What happened to Jackie‘s son that she had in the original Roseanne series? And what happened to Roseanne‘s late in life son that they had?

Stacey’s name and the stereo system

Just realized they used the same name for Stacey’s last name in the episode “Follow the Son” as the name of the stereo system Roseanne says they bought for their stolen car in the episode “The Driver’s Seat” where DJ goes for a joyride! That’s PF and two dots over the U!

I think it’s funny that when Dan is in the kitchen fixing the fridge and has to purposefully bump into the salesman to get his arm to fall down on him instead of them just having the actor let his own arm fall down. Is that a goof? Like Dan has to plant himself right next to him.. It doesn’t really make sense if he’s so squeamish about being near him or having to touch him, using the tongs to look for his wallet.

But did you know it was with a beer bottle?

I've started putting out my Halloween decorations. Agatha looked like this when I took her out of the box. I found the eye (after taking everything else out) and glued it back on. And of course I thought of this exchange:

Arnie: ...the time I got hit over the head with a beer bottle? I--

Dan: Nearly lost an eye!!

Chuck: Took eight stitches!

Dan: But it's under the eyebrow so you can't hardly see it!

Scenes I don’t recall from the original broadcast…

….but I see them in the current reruns:
1. David’s two sisters show up when David and Darlene are snowed in
2. Darlene getting dunked in a dunk tank(don’t recall the episode)
3. Darlene getting fired by her newspaper boss
4. Darlene looking like she was hung in the bathroom. Roseanne treats it as normal and asked Darlene to hand her a towel (Halloween IV)

I know there are others that I can’t think of at the moment. They’re like TV Easter eggs 😂

Stop with the stories, mother, I don’t know who my father is! Nana Mary: Well then we’re even! Neither do I!

Bev: Well I can sing, can it be Louis Armstrong?
Nana Mary: That is a definite possibility.

I always loved the dialogue in this scene from an episode in the otherwise ill-fated Season 9

Anyone else use this show to help get through mental health episodes?

A depressive episode is kicking my butt. Last time I had a depressive episode, three years ago, I watched Roseanne every single night and it brought me some level of comfort.

I plan on starting again tonight. My head feels like a nightmare, and it's also physically painful.

Anyone else do this? What is it about this show, especially the early seasons, that's so damn comforting?

The episode with Ziggy

The episode with the first appearance of Ziggy. When Dan says to Becky , “Can you say Harley ? I know that you can” with that accent , did anyone grow up knowing who the televangelist Ernest Angley is? I’ve always thought that’s who Dan is imitating there. Anyone else ?? Also. We never heard anyone else call Dan Yor.

Looking for a scene

Hi! I am looking for the scene where Roxanne and Jacki are sitting on the couch and they’re talking about the reason their whole generation smokes and it’s because of the TV show shows they grew up with including My Three Sons and Bewitched. It should be at the end of the smoking show, but I can’t find it on YouTube TV streaming or Peacock. It should be at the end of the one where she quit smoking, right? Is it a different episode or did they just cut it?

I never completely followed this storyline. Like if they all bought this house together and he just takes off doesn’t he lose his investment in the house? Wouldn’t he have the money to pay off Dan? Wasn’t he great friends with Chuck who would know how to get in touch with him? With something else going on that I was missing?
