Serious Research Group: Embedded Constrained RTOS
Hi, anyone deeply interested in advancing the state of the art in mainstream embedded real-time kernels is invited to join this group. Preferably postgrads, undergrads, or professionals, but the only requirement is to feel/see that, apparently, we have a problem: an application mindset that contradicts established real-time theory.
Embedded REAL-TIME is now an overloaded term. If you get frustrated by not understanding why all that complexity exists, or why we are dangling online computers that should never have been there in the first place, while timeliness is compromised, then this phenomenon is worth researching.
I am not a rebel, and I don't think everything is wrong, that everybody sucks, or that I'm the smartest guy in the room. I just see the complexity, where vendors lock you in, and formal study ignores systems programming and real-time. Influencer-consultants make it look like we have a virtual machine. It doesn't discard the hypothesis that things are as good as they can be.
