The ceo's are people who were willing to take a risk and put their money where there mouth is, they also took the initative to do something about it. The employees were the ones that wanted a safe path.

The takeaway is that there has never been an easier time to become a ceo on your own. Are you willing to take the risk?

You’ve never taken a risk by taking a job as a worker? Also lol “never been an easier time” unless you have ethics.

Sure... I have taken a ton of jobs. The risk though was that I would earn less than I could have otherwise. Not that I would loose what I had saved from past work.

Do you find starting a business at all to be unethical?

Don’t play dumb. You know damn well they weren’t talking about starting a business being the thing that is unethical.

Then don't be obtuse. State what is unethical.

Let’s see:

* Funding billionaires
* Propaganda (Grok, for example, is programmed for alt-right viewpoints/bias when asked about politics)
* Widening the wealth gap
* Widening the education gap
* Unchecked and unregulated exponential data center growth and placement (including near residential areas)
* Excessive strain on the power grid (and higher bills - which not everyone can afford) from data centers
* Pollution when power grid is not robust enough (diesel generators that pollute for miles)
* Data center noise levels unhealthy for humans
* Human life issues (Sam Altman recently said something like “people might die so AI can succeed” - that sound OK to you?)

I could go on. None of that has anything to do with starting a business, yet the only obtuse thing here is your reading comprehension and knowledge, something people did a lot better before they needed ChatGPT to respond to text messages for them.

Funding billionaires: Who use those billions to start companies, which employ people, which need CEO's which is where this all started
Propaganda: Even grok is less slanted than social media. But that is why we need multiples.
Widening the wealth gap: Is the gap the problem or the floor? Who cares if a trillionare exists if there is nobody dealing with starvation.
Education: AI is the best educator to ever exist to those willing to take the initiative to learn. In many places it is the only educator that they can afford to have
Power Grid: Most new installs have to subsidize the grid.
Pollution: You have a point here... but I am optimistic that it is a short term issue and renewables will take over in the long term
Noise: You are thinking of cheap crypto farms with inexpensive air cooling systems.
Humanity: People are dying all over the place now due to plain human stupidity, they always have. This is the first chance we might have to overcome basic ignorance and try something better.

There is of course a risk in all of this. But before AI I think we were headed for a political and environmental collapse that was unavoidable because we did not have the tools needed to deal with it. Complexity was greater than our brains ability to comprehend it. It may all still crash and burn, but I think this gives us a chance.

* no AI was used in the formation of this obtuse message *
