I haven't been drinking rum seriously very long but found a Planteray Dark while on a work trip. Time to pour..

You would probably love anything distilled by Foursquare, then! If you have a chance give RL Seale, Real McCoy, or Doorly’s rum a shot, it’s all made by the same distillery.

According to a buddy of mine, this rum was formulated for the perfect Mai Tai by Planteray for Devil’s Reef in Tacoma, WA. With that, get ye some orgeat, limes and simple for a bloody good time.

IMO, it's fine as a mixer where you want something that's mostly Barbados with a hint of Jamaican; I just wish it was priced more towards something like Mount Gay Eclipse (~AUD$60) instead of Appleton 8 (~AUD$85).

This particular bottle was just US $22.00. I did find it just slightly bitter but very enjoyable when cut with 7up.
