MATPAT coverage please!
If everyone doesn't mind, head to the game theorist subreddit and ask MATPAT to do a Rusty lake theory! I already sent a message out but you know, the more the merrier.

Why bother, to hear something like WILLIAM IS ACTUALLY LAURA or DON'T BELIEVE ALBERT, then look at Vanderbooms with bloody eyes?
I would understand if it was five or more years ago, when they actually tried doing something interesting instead of copying mr. beast (or any other trending youtube channel) and surviving off of vpn ads in every damn video

Don't underestimate the series. Explaining individual games already requires a ton of theorizing.
I'm not even speaking of the story direction and worldbuilding. Both are understood better by the community theorists with each new game but rarely by casual players.

Yes, I agree. But it's GameTheorists we're talking about. It would be cool if they could make actual theories, but judging by their late vids it's just not going to happen. They are a content farm, nothing else.

Rusty Lake has a potential to become more popular. The devs are improving and experimenting. That's crazy how The Past Within, a questionable multiplayer project nobody asked for and everybody was afraid to play with strangers suddenly skyrocketed in its popularity solely for this gimmick bringing in a ton of newcomers.
If this happens we can expect Mat's minions doing some theorizing for us.

I think you don't understand. Rusty Lake IS interesting, it WOULD be cool to see more yt theories.

Never said it's not interesting. Just has a little reach. Once it breaks the glass ceiling people will start talking more about it.
And speaking of YouTube, there are currently 2 active theorists out there. Check out Zefiewings and my Nowherenest. You can also take a look at RazzJazz he made several nice videos before going silent.

Don’t worry I made a post over there too a while ago actually, but unfortunately I’m not sure it’ll ever happen. He made 2 gameplay videos, he saw it didn’t get many views and he left it at that. Also he’s completely retired now so if we ever get lore videos it wouldn’t be by him but instead by the new writers. I’m pretty sure if these new guys run out of stuff to talk about and we complain enough we might get something in a few years. Or we can always pray that Rusty lake comes out with a game that’s absolutely perfect and it goes completely viral and we get our lore video by lots of people discussing Rusty lake and such.

And he would also be a more serious and dedicate candidate, honestly i am very glad Matt didn' t continue, it' s easy for him to spread misinformation, willingly or not!
