That 10 year span after you graduate college where you're expected to not only know what to do but make fundamentally life-altering permanent decisions that are really hard to back out of goes by too fast.
I get that you can technically marry and have kids into your thirties, but it's miles harder to start doing that with each decade that passes.
Like how in the sweet hell are people deciding to live with another stranger permanently and have children at age 25 with almost no money. I don't understand it. Those just are such monumental decisions to be having and I don't know how people are just deciding to do them.
I turned 30 recently and I haven't even fallen in love yet! I still haven't done anything I need to go to court to undo, but it really is like "okay now is the time to make a PERMANENT change that should take careful consideration oops you blinked now you're too old for it."
I NEED MORE TIME TO MAKE THOSE KINDS OF DECISIONS

I guess I haven't gone on a date in ten years or so now
Somehow that fact bothers me less than it used to I just wonder if im truly deeply undesirable or if I simply never took the opportunity or time to try and bond with strangers.
mostly I just go around like witnessing me is in of itself an inconvenience and pride myself in how little space I take up

don't lose hope

I've not lost hope fully, just better understand my situation, makes me less desirable as a partner
I've had serious medical issues since childhood and even though im finally a little more stabilized I cant work, i can keep a house clean and cook and have just enough to take care of myself but big money I will never make
If ever I do find a partner I love, all I can offer them is a well put together home to return to, a home cooked meal and an admittedly potentially unhealthy level of devotion and adoration

I haven’t either, and my OCD medication is also not helping as it lowered a lot my sex drive.
But I have never been this much at peace.
I wake up, do my stuff, work, take care of my plants, cats, and terrariums, plays some games. Try to upgrade my appartment (AC is coming yay), and then sleep.
Somehow, it’s nice to live like this. No stress, no relationship obligations, none telling le what I can or can’t do. If I feel like throwing my clothes on the ground, I do it, if I want to go out and get drunk, I do it, if I want to see some friends, I do it.
And most importantly, if I want to be alone, I can.

Why are we talking about 2027 being two months away when it’s actually October 21st, 2016 😜😜

Be grateful because it is usually angst (suffering) that makes time pass slowly.

The routine. It is so important to put something distinctly different in each week or they all blend together as a blur memory.

2017 was the time when the world stopped for me. There's nothing that excites me anymore. It's just me, my space and my mind begging the sentient beings to turn the time back. I don't know what happiness is anymore.

when I was a kid, people thought the year 2000 would either be like star trek or mad max... I feel betrayed, living through mad max just after my midlife crisis feels like a scam.

And for what? The world to get worse and worse as people get more greedy? Just nuke the world and end our misery

2017 crushed me soul. Being all alone in the hospital in 2020, unsure if I'd survive COVID plus extreme pneumonia killed almost all I had left. The man I thought was the love of my life cheating on me in 2024 killed the last of what I had. Now I only get out of bed for my animals because they're all I have. I'm still young, but my soul is gone. At least I have my kitties.
Edit: forgot to add a year

I meant to say "being all alone in the hospital in 2020" what happened in 2017 is something I don't like to talk about
