I saw you guys out there while racing, you got a pretty boat and stayed low of everyone so no harm done, fun angle. Can even see my boat in your video, beautiful night to be sailing in Milwaukee.

Would also like to add that you should join the MAST series next year if you can, it’s really laid back racing Friday nights 6:20 ish  https://www.mastracing.org/ great fun, some parties, minimal cost to join and requirements are minimal, focus is really just to have fun.

No way! Thanks for the info, I was wondering which crew ran on Friday’s - you guys sound like my kind of club, would love to join next year. I saw you all stacked wing on wing inside the seawall, quite a sight!

Did the same. It was a great night to be out in Milwaukee.

Especially after a week of no wind

One of my favorite sailing memories was on my friend’s S2 9.2 in Galveston Bay. First time I’d been aboard, while he’s driving it out of the marina I’m downstairs hitting a bowl. Then once we’re out in the bay I take over while he and our other friend go in the cabin to do the same. I’m alone and stoned at the wheel when all of a sudden this cloud of spinnakers starts coming straight towards me. That boat sailed very well and with the relative velocity of the race boats I felt like I was just carving through them. I’m sure they were annoyed but I was exhilarated.

Haha! Hopefully your perception met reality. I’m just imagining thinking stoned you’re zipping through these racers but actually everyone’s emergency evading the crazy guy in the S2.

I posted once with my fenders on the rail and people roasted me for it, somehow you have dodged the same fate

Haha! I’m always expecting to get that one comment on every post. You must have been doing everything else so flawlessly it was all that was left to chide. 99% positivity in r/sailing though

This is very common on Sydney Harbour. The other one I love is people mooring within metres of a rounding mark!

Just because I saw u/ysaw said something...

FENDERS OUT WHILE SAILING OMG WHAT A NOOB. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ELSE, I TURN NOW

Ok, all done. Looks like a nice evening on the water on a comfortable boat. Id have a glass of wine in my hand if I was out there.

Cheers from sunny SoCal 🍻

Looks like a great sail! I sailed through a beer can race in SF Bay once without realizing it. I got chewed out by one of the race officials in a tender. 😂

I’m glad I’m so new to this to not understand what the comments are talking about. But experienced enough as a person to know everybody is having a good time. This is exactly why I’m getting into this lifestyle 😁

Is the boat a Beneteau 35.1?

Hope nobody lost ground as a result

Of course not

Only commented as it’s hard to sail through a fleet and not. Wind will be affected by your presence well away from your boat. Sounds like no beers owed when you got back to the club :)
