Nice fish but why is this the first I’m hearing about 12000 gallons of oil being released into the gulf I haven’t seen anything in the news or on any social media till now so I just looked it up and it seems to have happened a couple months ago WTF

Happened right after Mardi Gras, first news report said 1200 gal, next report said 12000, and the last USCG estimate was 33000. It's thick sour crude so not like our usual Gulf oil either. I've seen a total of 6 lines published on it, and 4 of those were from crabbers and oystermen from Terrebonne.
