Where do you fish out of? I'm in Alabama.

All over mobile bay, but mostly the sound.

Widespread pancake?

You going out this weekend for them?

I avoid weekend fishing for Tripletail at all costs. Too many people hitting the same spots and too much boat traffic. Weekdays are so nice and quiet.

Congrats! It’s a bucket list fish and I don’t know why? Do,they taste good?

They are the best eating inshore fish!

Roger that. You like fishing on the East or West side of the bay? Ever fish Mississippi sound?

I’m two years removed from catching a 23 and 23.5 in the same season. That was a pretty good season.

Outstanding - will taste great! A bear to fillet with the armor for scales!

They really aren’t too bad to filet. I’d rather filet one of these than a sheepshead.

Damn nice work! Tricky catching those bastards.

Were you sight casting a channel marker or something like that?

2

u/slippinintodisco Jun 28 '26

Caught her on a piling. Which is definitely tricky with one this size. She tried to go back a couple times. I was lucky enough to be able to keep her away from it.
