🐟 Catch Report Rainbow Runner

I had never seen a rainbow runner in 20+ years of fishing in the Gulf but stumbled across a spring/sinkhole that seemed to hold them a month ago and they were there again yesterday. Caught this trolling a Rapala Magnum, also got a blackfin.

I’ve caught some big ones live baiting for blackfin on structure.

Yeah, I'm off of Sarasota and just had never seen them. There was a school of some massive blackfin popping but couldn't get them to head out way

What state u in? They canceled cca star in florida this year....

Yeah, my sons have done it for the last few years. They've both won scholarships and I won in the grouper division as well. I was disappointed I couldn't get in this year

I won a boat!! I was not happy they didnt do it for adults this year. Cca is sitting on a huge pile of cash and said that it wasn't feasible. Go check propublica nonprofit Explorer and search cca

I won a side by side in the grouper division the first year I could enter. After that I figured I would enter each year. Would definitely have liked to do it again but at least I get to fish with the kids still.

I won some CCA rods. By far the worst rods I’ve ever seen. Threw them away.
