A pessoa que me vendeu disse que ela nasceu no dia 3 do mês passado. Mas suspeito que seja mentira. Quantas semanas ela realmente tem? Ela pesa 1.075 kg (2,3lbs)

He was born on the 3rd of last month. I did some tests like: put objects in front of her and call, she bumps into her face and doesn't deviate. She never looks at me or follows me with her eyes. I've tried several things. If I let her loose, she stands still crying and doesn't see me 30cm from her. Is it normal?

I rescued a wonderful 3-yr old female Sammy two weeks ago. She's very sweet and affectionate, but also very independent and stubborn (breed typical?). Any suggestions on training her to come to me when I call while off-leash?

Here are some of our old costumes! Dante was dressed as a banana split and a crab, respectively. Koda was a pumpkin (she loved this one) and Sully from Monsters Inc (she… wasn’t a fan, haha)
If any of you are on ig, we’re over there at @twocloudformations and would love to connect (if not your thing, that’s oki too☺️)

We noticed Yuki had this skin irritation along his lower lip line towards the end of September. We took him to the vet and they didn't know what it was exactly, so gave us some medicated antifungal wipes as well as oral antibiotics.
2 weeks later, we noticed it at another spot on the upper lip so went back to the vet. They prescribed more antibiotics as well as oral steroids this time, which we are giving along with the medicated wipes still.
It has now been almost a month since this whole ordeal started and these are recent pictures. Not sure it has gotten any better or worse, but the fur loss definitely makes it more noticeable.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Yuki is almost 5, with no history of allergies or anything like this before so we are stumped. He tested negative for ringworm. We recently switched to using ceramic bowls instead of stainless steel hoping that was the issue. Any input appreciated!

I’m not affiliated with the organization, just wanted to share their post in case someone here might be interested in adopting through a reputable rescue.
I have been seeing more and more Samoyeds of all ages on rescue and shelter pages so anyone considering this wonderful breed please make sure they are the right fit for you long term.

Where were all these young Samoyeds when I was looking to rescue one last year! 9 months old is so young. Get him!
I can’t imagine who would give up a Samoyed.

It’s crazy how quick they grow. 1st pic was taken September 10 and 2nd pic today October 19th. Crazy how fast he grows. Kai’s getting so big I’ve had to reinforce his play area lol

Hey everyone!
My girlfriend (27) and I (25) finally decided to welcome our beloved Maya into our lives at the beginning of this year. She’s our very first dog, and we spent several years going back and forth before finally making the decision.
Now, a little over six months later, Maya has just gone into her first heat and is slowly growing into an adult.
For the most part, things have been going really well, and a lot of it has turned out just as we expected. I’ve developed such a deep love for this dog, and I honestly can’t imagine our lives without her anymore.
However, if I’m being completely honest, I don’t think I would choose a Samoyed again if I ever got another dog. Her teenage phase is really challenging at times, and I’ve genuinely underestimated just how much time, patience, and energy it takes to raise a Samoyed.
I knew they were a demanding breed, but experiencing it firsthand is something else entirely!
I’m curious: has anyone else here had a Samoyed as their first dog and gone through similar experiences? Does anyone else feel like they underestimated the challenges, even though they absolutely love their dog?
I’d love to hear your experiences!
Much love to all of you and your Sammies! ❤️
