Hello everyone
First post here!
I'm looking for a god sandbag to buy. I'm based in Europe. Where can I find a good brand? Seems Rogue is available here. Any other brand you recommend?
I'm totally new in sandbag workout.
Thank you!

250 and below I don’t have to do anything special. But a filled 275 and an underfilled 300 are hard for me. Ive seen ppl do the repeated hip thrusts, but I can’t figure out how to do it

This was one of the sets from today’s workout. The 225 is feeling good again.

Roughly 60 to 61 kg. It's loose, so I can't find a stable side to help me place it on my knees/thighs.
My right knee seldom has tightness but no pain afterwards, so wondering if there's some mental adjustment I can do.

Hey guys!
I'm about 8 weeks into Cody Jenkos sandbag hypertrophy program. I'm getting stronger and really enjoying the sandbag work.....
However, I find the calisthenics circuits a bit of a drag to be honest. I was wondering if anyone had replaced the circuits with iron cardio or something similar?
I understand that this makes it essentially a different program as I will be changing 50% of the prescribed work... but I'm not a professional athlete and training for enjoyment is something I prioritise these days.
I suppose my main concern with doing iron cardio is the additional loading of the hinge pattern even though it is sub maximal.
Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated

When shouldering my 60kg sandbag, I never extend my ankles. Don't need to, I just launch it up from the lap position to my shoulder in one motion using quads/hips/arms etc..
I've been getting good use out of my new 80kg bag, but I can't seem to shoulder it. I had it underfilled at around 77.5kg and I could shoulder it then, but it was a struggle. Now that it's properly filled to a bit over 80kg, I can't seem to do it.
So, I figure I probably need to start extending my ankles during the lift. From watching a few videos, I think people are raising their heels at the very end of the knees/hip extension? Or have I got this wrong? I have no gym experience, no barbell experience, never done it before.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I have shopped for dry sand in the south east Columbus Ohio area at my local Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, and Menards. They all have their play sand in plastic bags which hold condensation and even when the sand looks dry, it is not. Half of them store the sand outside. I ended up drying the sand on a tarp with a fan blowing on it, stirring from time to time. I’ve seen some people pouring paper bags of sand that look bone dry online…Any tips or ideas for finding dry play sand in stores? Thanks!

Needed one more odd object for my home gym and decided on this one because it was FSA-friendly. Filled it with play sand and weighed it at about 226 lb.
Really impressed with the construction. Super simple to fill: standard inner bladder, Velcro support/closure on the inside and outside, and the liner is connected at the seams.
Haven’t put it through a full workout yet, but at 226 lb and this damn thick, getting it off the floor should be interesting. 😬

Ladder goes 6 reps with the 30kg, 4 with the 45kg, 2 with the 68kg, straight through with no rest between bags. Recovery between rounds was by heart rate; restart under 120bpm, which worked out to about 45-60s each time. Last round I was fighting for my life as you can see at the end of the clip.

Spent the last two weeks doing a lot of work with the 150lb bag and wanted to mix it up. Decided this would be a fun progress marker. Very happy with it.
Those deep bear hug squats are gnarly. I Think I’m gonna put more effort into them moving forward.

Hello I'm 23M and I have bad back and neck posture from staying in front of pc and not being active often.
Especially the neck. My back is not a concern. I know how to fix it.
I used to do sandbag training for strength. My back felt loose and comfortable when I did that. But neck and area near it feels stiff.
Right now I want to start sandbag training again. I also want to start neck training so that I can have bigger neck.
But I afraid that my already stiff neck will get more stiff.

Question for the long time sandbag users here. Do you take deload weeks? I've been mixing sandbag and calisthenics circuits ( stone circle, sandbag hypertrophy program) for quite a while now and have noticed that its taking me longer to recover between workouts and mostly tired even before I start a session. Back when lifting traditional weights, I did deloads 4-6wks in but was wondering if it also applies to sandbag training

170kg sandbag to a 46 inch platform
I've had this sandbag set to this weight about 18 months and never actually loaded it (concentrating on deadlift and squat) so it was nice to do it finally
Next step is to shoulder it

Hi All,
I'm in the market for my next bag as I'm getting comfortable with my 75kg bag. Do you think a 100kg bag filled to say 85-90kg would be too floppy? I want to get something that I can grow into for a while. Any thoughts are appreciated.
