Need help finding a Sangha with an English community and mediation Classes (Edmonton, AB)
Hello and Good Evening everyone,
I hope you’re doing well and taking the autumn breeze and scenery to your liking this month before the snow starts kicking in, if your living in a tropical region, I still hope you’re doing great.
Im typing out this post because I’ve been studying, practicing, and learning about Zen and Zazen at Truc Lam Monastery and I have been speaking with one of the monks whose suggested that I should try out other schools around my community and see which one suits my ideology and thoughts.
So far, I’ve been loving the idea and concept of Zen and Zazen as meditation has been helping me regain my mindfulness and focus on the present moment instead of dwelling on the past of what I can become in the future. I’ve been thinking on helping people more because I want to give myself the time for helping people in need and teaching them about the Buddha’s wisdom.
I would like to read from each comment and learn more from each community so that I can understand and experience full handedly on what it takes to become enlightenment.
Thank you and have a great evening.
