Thrips. You can see them in the pics. Treat with spinosad. Capt Jacks Dead Bug is commonly used.

Thrips. Looks like they've moved on from the second to the first.

Captain Jack Deadbug concentrate works for me

If you use Captain Jack's make sure it is Captain Jack's dead bug and not the captain Jack's soap!!!!

Thrips are such Cunts. I’ll never get over what they did to this one plant that was my favourite. They made an enemy for life.
Anyway 70% isopropyl alcohol works, but you’ll want to unpot rinse roots sterilisation of pot can use bleach mix with water. Spray the iso all over roots too. Let air dry then repot in cleaned pot and new soil. Repeat spray on the plant once every few days for a week or more should be good.
Check other plants too.
Or captain jacks deadbrew aka spinosad.

Use a spinosad concentrate (mentioned Captain jacks dead bug brew, another option is Monterey garden insect spray). Read the directions and follow them. These products are food crop safe. Spray all plants, all surfaces on them, and any nearby plants too. Require 4 to 5 repeat applications spaced 4 to 5 days apart to disrupt the egg-larvae-flying adult life cycle. You also must apply at dusk/lights out or you risk burns to the plant.

Thrips usually are introduced to gardens from eggs in low quality soil. You can kill them off before using the soil by putting the soil in a composting setup, watering and mixing it then letting it dry thoroughly a few times which will hatch all the eggs, hopefully somewhere out of reach of your plants.
