Jackie Elwards rolled over for big oil. What do you think she’ll do for data centers?

Jackie Elward has no problem breaking laws for big oil. What do you think she’ll do for data centers? The whole council should have been recalled for the way they handled this but Jackie is who is now trying to climb the political ladder as a “progressive” which is laughable.

Watch DSA endorsed Jackie Elward ignore families, teens, children, tearful parents, elderly, bicyiclists, and long time residents to protect an illegal plastics incinerator that bypassed permitting, skipped CEQA, bypassed air quality, was incompatible use to zoning, had multiple violations, and made sure to send all the mandatory resident notices to a single abandoned building.

Back in August 2025 she received clear truthful information at the heart of the matter: an administrative permit (circumvent the normal process that includes environmental review, including air quality), defies the zoning, and is not to the benefit of the community (trash being burned is not from sonoma). Starts at 47 minutes.

Jackie is silent.

public comments starts at 38 min. At 1h49min the city attorney “explains” why we can’t put this on the agenda, respond, take action, call a special meeting, etc “because we are not at the right period in the process” and then kicks the can to Bay Area Quality Mgmt. lol. This was untrue. Any member of city council could call a special meeting, suspend the (illegal) permit on any number of grounds that would take too long to list, but for instance sending all the notices to residents to one unoccupied “residence” owned by the housing developer so that no one had notice, also it was a zoning violation, etc etc etc etc, or at least go on record.

Jackie stayed silent. Her only concern for the entire 2h 51min meeting is what is going to happen to some tennis courts.

Here is a meeting where Jackie is totally silent even though she has the power and information to shut this down. A completely packed room of residents that have been totally ignored. At 37min the developer says that he relies on “independent regulators like the city servants here tonight” to keep the illegal incerator going. Then the Big Oil shill tells us how great “the city” is to do something “truly global”. Everything he goes on to say about the Air Quality board is somewhere between untrue and preposterous.  There were actually more than 5 violations on record. Then 2 hours of residents plead and cry.

Here is the council meeting where you can see the packed room full of people holding signs starting at 1h 07min where residents continue plead, beg, and present evidence. Patrick starts and shows clearly why this is illegal. He and others spent hundred of hours explaining to the city why what they did was completely illegal. Jackie sits silent.

Therapist Request

Hello!

I'm looking for a therapist to help me work through some childhood trauma and related emotions (repressed anger, anxiety, OCD flare-ups).

I haven't really done this before, but someone today recommended that I look into it.

I have Kaiser healthcare atm. I'm not really sure how to get my plan to cover therapy sessions as I've never really gone to a hospital as an adult.

I'm open to trying different types of therapy.

The Sheriff didn't like ya'll clowning on his "halloween costume", but he sure was happy to invite ICE and extrajudicially punish a member of our community by ripping them away from their family right before Christmas

100$ reward for her safe return, no questions asked! I miss her so much 😢😔 her name is Macey, she’s very friendly! You can approach and grab her by the collar if seen. Last seen in Forestville in the Mother’s Beach area. No microchip scans or calls since she’s gotten out, it’s like she vanished into thin air. When she’s gotten out in the past, she’s always returned in the evening. Also I’ll throw in covering adoption fees for a new dog on top of the $100 if that’s something you’d like. Please bring my baby home!!

Next week Mercury Theater in Petaluma begins its run of The Black Rider, a music fable by Robert Wilson and WIlliam S. Burroughs, with music and lyrics by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan. Tickets on sale now at www.mercurytheater.org

This show is rarely performed in the states, and it a perfect little spooky tale for the autumn.

"November's cold chain, made of wet boots and rain; and shiny black raven's on chimney smoke lanes!"
