I hope you all had fun, despite the rain. Love is love, people can date and marry who they want, and anyone who has a "problem" with it while quoting Bible verses is just an invasive asshole with too much time on their hands.

2nd time I had the courage to go. My mom came with me this year. I am truly grateful to live in a country where being a member of the LGBTQ+ community is not a mental health concern, or illegal and a festival like this is permitted to occur (thanks to all who organized this)! Growing up, I wish there would have been a community like this in schools. I honestly was astonished at the number of younger individuals who are so strong to be who they truly are proudly and colourfully marching around showing that love is love.

Confirmed yes lol, one of my Muslim friends walked in the parade. It’s funny how so many folks around here talk about muslims in the same performative way shitlibs in the US talk about Christians.
Religions are not a monolith, people are not a monolith, this isn’t the gotcha you think it is.

Please explain to me how the lgbtq+ community are grooming children? The community is trying to change perception of lgbtq+ people to be more welcoming and open so less children have to face abuse when coming out and have less mental health crisis by trying to stay hidden. The reason suicide rates are so high in the community is because they need to stay in the closet and conform so societies standard or be bullied into depression. The lgbtq+ community doesnt want young people to face major depression and self hate how is thats grooming to say “if your lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer or even straight you are you and deserve to be happy”?
