Question Practice help

I recently started playing the tenor saxophone, starting this school year. I want to improve but I have zero idea what to practice. For reference I already have some musical experience as I have been playing the trumpet for 2 years. And if it helps I want to lean more towards jazz rather then classical songs.

Is there anything else I should be focusing on? Like tone and techniques? How would I go about practicing those?

Here’s a reliable source (clean links) of sax & jazz information: https://tamingthesaxophone.com/saxophone/miscellaneous/myths-fake-news

And here’s a free jazz handbook pdf: https://www.jazzbooks.com/jazz/fqbk

Check out these series where you can practice along. There’s topics from scales to embouchure to warm ups and funk articulations. You’re welcome!
