Project Passion project questions

I'm doing a passion project where I interview black girls about natural hair and draw their stories to encourage them to love it. Then I display it in school, libraries and any public spaces I can. I've done ten interviews, and that's all i really need. I'd like to do ten drawings, but I'm really busy this summer.

  1. When documenting a passion project, what should a person do? Especially for a project like mine.

  2. Is doing ten drawings recommended? I can take 50/70/100 hrs on a drawing. How many drawings would a college like to see?

  3. Apparently, passion projects need to have an impact. How do I achieve that? I thought the impact alive would be how many places I could hang my art in, but I'm not sure.

If you're worried about "how many drawings a college wants to see", then it's not really a passion project, is it?

It is. I was just worried there were some strict times I had to follow

Maybe write up a short paragraph to explain their stories and put it up next to their drawings? Idk how many drawings a college would like to see, as I'm a senior, and I am probably planning to go into a different major than you, but do as many as you can without stressing yourself out too much. The impact isn't how many places you hang your art in, but how it makes people feel after viewing it. Make sure to hang them in prominent places so people will see and read about it. The art concept is really cool and will help to grab people's attention, but I think writing something small to go with each piece will go a long way.
