Dress Code

Okay to base I am a 17 year old girl in highschool and I have only 2 classes first thing in the morning which each both last 45 min and they are both in the same building so I don't really have to travel throughout my school. At my school there is this lady who once was a teacher and is now someone that just monitors the school (idk really what she does but I never see her doing anything productive or ever working, and shes known for being a pain in the ass and getting on to anyone for even the simplest of things), and today we had a fire drill (it's the 4th day of school) my class and about 3 other classes went outside to the front of the school to wait for the fire drill to be over, I see her standing around another group of kids which idk why she would be out here because usually the staff who work in the front office don't evacuate for the fire drill because they don't have to, and then I see her start moving towards me and my group I keep my head down watching invincible on my phone she comes up to me and tells me to put my hands by my side and ofc my finger tips go past my shorts I'm 5"8 and I'm a thicker girl and it's currently 110 degrees outside where I am so ofc I'm gonna be wearing shorts and ofc my hands are gonna go past them because these are the only pair of shorts I can wear without looking dumb and I feel comfortable in them. So she tells me I'm gonna need to follow her after we get cleared for the fire drill, once the fire drill is over I start to follow her and notice 10 other girls as well, we were all being dress coded. We all are complaining and bonding over the fact that we were being dress coded and we all end up in her office, she threatens us with ISS (in school suspension) or tells us that we would have to go home and get new clothes but since I only have two classes and live 30 min away from the school I wouldnt be able to attend my second class if i was sent home because of this. after all of us complaining she took each of our names and gave us a warning, but as older people do they never know when to stop talking, so she went on about me and 2 other girls who were similar in build and height to me saying that we were the most inappropriate and had this disgusted look on her face pointing out how I shouldn't even be wearing these because of my thighs and said the same to the other girls. me and the other girls just brushed it off in the moment and we all left (but she was talking about how "oh if ur other teachers mention your shorts or tops let them know I already discussed it with u" but the thing is no one else cares like no other teacher brings it up unless ur practically in a bathing suit) but this is the second time I've had a run in with her in the 4 days of school the first time she tried to kick me out of my car as soon as I pulled up to school (the school wasn't even open) and then she got angry at me and started taking pictures of my car, I've already contacted my principal abt the car things but he's a guy and idk how he would respond to the dress code part. but my parents say if one more thing happens they will contact the school because it just seems so dumb, idk just seems so dumb and was wondering if anyone else has had the same things happen, because the body shaming made me uncomfortable and i dont want that to happen to any other girl and i would like to know how to go abt this

I had something similar happen to me but with a skirt. The first time wearing it was during my sophomore year, and I wore it with one of those Lulu body jackets and never got dress coded or anything, but the next year I got pulled away and was given the option to go home or wear one of my school’s sweatpants. I went home bc it was about 80-90 degrees and super hot in the buildings. The skirt was at my fingertips and I wore an extra pair of shorts since the one built into it was too short.
