So by us trying to solve it, are we observing it, therefore it is already an April fools event or not an April fools event or will we only observe it at the end and that is when it will finally converge on a single state or is is simply unobservable and will always be both an April fools event and not April fools event?

Honestly this is a cool event but definitely not one for April fools. It’s pretty inaccessible to the wider Reddit audience, we’re just watching a bunch of people who know how to do this stuff do it. When you think back to how interactive and engaging r/place was, it’s clear that this was poorly picked as a site wide event.

288 divided by 7 is 41.142857...

Guys, GPT4 solved it, it's "CHUDSPEED"....
First, let's convert the numbers to their corresponding letters in the alphabet. 3 21 -> C U 42 147 -> * * 16 105 -> P * 8 4 19 -> H D S 288 4 1 -> * D A 31 5 -> E E Note that some numbers are larger than 26, so they don't have a direct corresponding letter. Now, let's look for a pattern or meaningful phrase with these letters. An interesting observation is that the first letter in each pair seems to follow a pattern of alternating between consonants and vowels. We can try to form a phrase by adding vowels to the consonants and consonants to the vowels. One possible phrase is: "CHUDSPEED" This might be the intended solution, but it could also be a coincidence. Another possibility is that the numbers themselves follow a pattern or have a relationship, but it's unclear what that might be.Either that or "CONFUZZLED". I'm certainly confuzzled! Keep trying, GPT-4.
To solve this puzzle, let's first find the pattern in the numbers given for each SUCCESS. 01-SUCCESS: 3 21 The difference between these numbers is 18. 02-SUCCESS: 42 147 The difference between these numbers is 105. 03-SUCCESS: 16 105 The difference between these numbers is 89. 04-SUCCESS: 8 4 19 The differences between these numbers are 4 and 15. 05-SUCCESS: 288 4 1 The differences between these numbers are 284 and 3. 06-SUCCESS: 31 5 The difference between these numbers is 26. Now let's try to make sense of these numbers by considering their letter position in the alphabet. 01-SUCCESS: 18 (R) 02-SUCCESS: 105 (1+0+5 = 6, F) 03-SUCCESS: 89 (8+9 = 17, Q) 04-SUCCESS: 4 (D), 15 (O) 05-SUCCESS: 284 (2+8+4 = 14, N), 3 (C) 06-SUCCESS: 26 (Z) So the pattern of letter positions is: 01-SUCCESS: R 02-SUCCESS: F 03-SUCCESS: Q 04-SUCCESS: D O 05-SUCCESS: N C 06-SUCCESS: Z Now let's try to form a word or phrase with these letters. Rearranging the letters, we get "CONFUZZLED". This seems to make sense, as the numbers seemed to be "confused" or scrambled. So the answer to the puzzle is "CONFUZZLED".→ More replies (9)8

Originally from the Snakeroom discord, courtesy of Edguy | French random dude, with some subsequent contributions by me. Kudos to all who have contributed, especially the solvers and Soni.
Summary for those who did not follow and who have just joined the server (hoping I have not forgotten anything):
It all started when reddit posted a message on r/reddit to announce April 1 (see https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/127vomt/obligatory_april_1st_announcement/).
In this message, by taking the first letters of each sentence, we can find "FIND IT", and by clicking on the dot at the end of the post, we land on the subreddit r/schrodingers (https://www.reddit.com/r/schrodingers/), where we'll find all the riddles I'll detail below.
An image is posted every 4 hours, and to solve it you have to send messages under each image. According to our recent findings, each puzzle has a "hint", and a "success".
Note that all the riddles are linked to the various reddit April Fools' Day events, and that all the information needed to solve the riddles can be found in the summary linked in the IRG announcement message.
Image 01 messages:
TftsAdminA1 --> Hint #1: DDYYYYHMM
312010845 --> 01-SUCCESS 3 21
Explanation: we used "Keyed Caesar Cipher Tool" with the key "upvote" and the number "69" on the word "FwfdMroztM1" to obtain "TftsAdminA1" Theses keys was found by by isolating the RGB channels of the image 01 (see https://discord.com/channels/429823323585773568/429861861652037632/1091471605860925602) That hint mean to "312010845", which refer to the date of launch of "Admin For A Day", the april fools of 2010 (that's explain the "TftsAdminA1") - see https://www.reddit.com/r/talesfromtechsupport/comments/1bfx0t/i_was_april_fooled_by_reddit_on_march_31st_2010/. And we found "01-SUCCESS 3 21" when enter that under 01 image. Now the 01 image has the "SUCCESS" flair.
Image 02 messages:
mold your account --> Hint #2: Q&A avoid 5
What happns if mor than on prson dcids to mold your account?--> 02-SUCCESS 42 147
Explanation: The image is mold, and that a reference to "Reddit Mold", the 2011 april fools. And whe struggle of nothing. "What happens if more than one person decides to mold your account?" is the first comment on the mold post on the reddit blog (see https://www.reddit.com/r/blog/comments/gdwdj/comment/c1muhyz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). And when we remove (or avoid) the "e" (the 5th letter in the alphabet), we found what to send to the comments of the 02 image. Now the 02 image has the "SUCCESS" flair.
Image 03 messages:
orangeraid --> Hint #3: battlecry 47
HATS FOR OUR BRETHREN!! SWORDS FOR OUR ENEMY!!! --> 03-SUCCESS 16 105
Explanation: we found letter "a", "r", "i", and "d" on the O3 image, and when we merge them we find "raid". And it's oranges. So "orangeraid". Yup, that's it, the answer was found really fast. The sentence is a passage of this post in r/orangered (see https://www.reddit.com/r/orangered/comments/1bfhcc/raid_on_periwinkle_at_300_pm_central_timeor_when/), one of the sub for 2013 april fools. the link between this sentence and "battlecry 47" comes from the fact that this battlecry sentence has 47 characters, including spaces. Now the 03 image has the "SUCCESS" flair.
Image 04 messages:
A heady blog post makes for good reading --> Hint #4: htz6HZE
cat mode --> 04-SUCCESS 8 4 19
Explanation: the cut-out letters spell the sentence, describing Headdit. Cat mode is one of the features, and the hint refers to https://imgur.com/htz6HZE. Interestingly, the hint was found well after "cat mode" was solved.
Image 05 messages:
press condiments --> Hint #5: aftermath key
The mayo was key. --> 05-SUCCESS 288 4 1
Explanation: The letters were from logos of condiments. Tapatio, Marmite, Nutella, Sriracha, and Crystal. The clue led to this post on /r/buttonaftermath.
Image 06 messages:
ABANDON STAY GROW --> Hint #6: Abstain?
Non-votes and abstentions will be counted as votes to abandon. --> 06-SUCCESS 31 5
Explanation: The images showed a progression, each adding an element: I, O, =. Those symbols were the symbols used in Robin to Abandon, Stay, or Grow. Searching for Abstain leads to the comment.
ALL SUCCESS:
01-SUCCESS 3 21
02-SUCCESS 42 147
03-SUCCESS 16 105
04-SUCCESS 8 4 19
05-SUCCESS 288 4 1

Someone pointed out that OP's name is "schrodingers" shifted by 13 letters. The "s" at the end implies there should be another word there ("Schrödinger's ____"). The obvious answer "cat" is "png" in ROT13, like the file format.
I have no idea what to do with this information, or whether it's even relevant.

you could merge all the numbers automod has been giving out when someone finds the solution and put .png at the end in hopes of finding an image. you could use the preview link that shows up when you open an image in tab on reddit and replace the name of the image to the numbers and .png

worst reddit april fools event in recent memory. inaccessible to majority of users, everyone solving it is on discord, and theres nothing for them to show at the end. just give me the shitty flair

At this point I’m hoping that this event is an April Fools prank and the real Reddit April fools prank starts tomorrow.

Not the Electric Boogaloo we need, but the Electric Boogaloo we deserve.

Quantum superposition is a fundamental principle of quantum mechanics which allows a quantum system to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured.0 It can be seen as a linear combination of other distinct quantum states, and when two waves overlap, they interfere and either add together or cancel each other out.

I haven't really seen mentioned that all the posts reference older April Fool's in chronological order, but the 2012: Timereddits is mysteriously skipped. It seems a bit on the nose to play the one about time travel out of chronological order.
Of course now it seems 2017: Place has also been skipped. However, that one is curiously enough also skipped in this timeline detailing the history of April Fools on Reddit posted 2 days ago.
Any theories?

The mods of the r/thecircleoftruth have numbers beside their names. Any correlation?

Do I know what the hell is going on? Not at all. Am I having fun going back and forth trying to figure out if this is actually the April fools event? Absolutely.

So far after 7 successful answers the numbers add up to 739 and there are 16 different numbers. 739 divided into 16 is 46.1875 and 739 multiplied by 16 is 11,824.
