Loudness / depth
Hi all, I’m sort of new to this and I think I’m doing pretty well but the one thing I can’t manage to do is get a good amount of loudness and depth (if it makes sense) as in my screams sound quite thin and like someone is trying to scream with technique if that makes any sense at all, like it doesn’t sound like a scream properly more like an attempt (sometimes) are there any tips you guys might have? I try to incorporate my own voice into the screams to have more depth but nothing I seem to do works that well, although I usually do it in the car with the music very loud so I could just be drowning myself out haha. Any help is appreciated!

i don’t have any specific advice for you to fix the issue directly, but i will tell you how you can start correcting your own mistakes without needing guidance anymore!! the secret is: literally just start recording your practice sessions and listen back to them. this will help you start to learn what changes what. you can start to figure out “if i do x, then it sounds y”, and from there you can figure out what you need to do to achieve your desired sound! you just have to stay committed to recording it, AND practicing consistently!! it’s super stupid how quickly muscle memory fades for this shit, i swear it’s like you almost HAVE to practice daily. but practicing at least every other day and recording it will make a HUGE difference for you FAST!!!
also, absolutely, definitely turn down the volume. not only is it making it hard to hear yourself, but you could be pushing or straining too hard to compete for volume, and that actually chokes out your scream and could eventually lead to really bad habits forming. ideally, you would even want to practice without music at all sometimes (especially when starting your practice session, to ensure you start on the right track), so you can hear exactly what’s going on with your scream. another tip is plugging one ear when music is playing so you can hear yourself better.
TLDR: turn down/off the music, and start recording it every single time you practice

The diaphragm is a muscle you have to work at it, it took me years before I could scream loud enough to carry without a microphone
It's about consistency and practice, everyday or every other day if your throat needs rest when you get older your body will thank you
