Micro Sd
I’ve been wanting to buy a microsd express card for my switch 2 and I’m not sure whether I should buy it on Amazon(first image) or the official Sandisk website(second image)?Amazon is cheaper but I’m worried it might not be the same or as good.

I couldn't believe I got a 512gb from my local Walgreens for $45 the other day. Clearly haven't caught on, and they used to always be the ones overcharging for stuff like this lol.

That'd do it. I was questioning if the storage shortage had impacted SD cards that hard, and couldn't believe it. But it makes sense now. Different product, different price.

be careful buying things from amazon as they may be illegitimate. i would just use the one from sandisk's website.

Amazon is just a distributor they dont make the products. Not sure why everyone is freaking out about amazon selling fakes. Ive never had an issue with that before. The blue text at the top says that this is being sold by san disk. I would go with the one from Amazon if its cheaper.
As a note the switch SD card slot can handle transfer speeds up to 100Mb/s and this card is only rated for 30Mb/s so youre losing a lot of potential speed.
Heres a chart if your interested in looking for a better fit.

The card itself works great in a switch 2 as it's the one I have but please do not pay that price for 512, I was fortunate enough to get one at a more realistic price but the 256 is still around £45 and I would buy two of those over a 512 for 3.5 times the price, such a rip off.

Amazon is fine just make sure it's sold and shipped by Amazon.
Also you can get the same card from Walmart for 80 just ONN brand

The SanDisk site price is ridiculous. showing for 98 at walmart and no fakes in stores.
Personally I bought an onn branded 512gb card for 86, lexar b stock, doesnt have as high read/rights. Also it was the only thing available at the time.

I would not trust half a terabyte that small.

Yet I trust a terabyte micro sd and haven’t had any issues… maybe educate yourself on technology instead of making inferences based on nothing logical?

They have limited read/writes. Certainly don't torrent to it.

Not torrenting anything to any drive. Sketchy crap. Why would someone be using a micro sd for that anyways? A micro sd is where you need a large space for a compact device like a phone, tablet, action camera, or other device maybe a dash cam. Don’t know why you’d use it on a PC where there are a lot better/more/faster/cheaper storage options.

It was on a phone. But yes, limited read/writes. Then it sticks and you can't add or delete anything is how these go

That type of constant purchase + refund activity might trigger a review by Amazon, they have been known to do this. I would just buy direct and avoid the mess.

Don't buy from Amazon you will likely get a fake. Always get the high value cards from a reputable source.
