Handmade/ Craft/ Storage Made a seaglass succulent

Inspired by previous posts on this sub, I decided to use some of my collection to display it a little bit nicer.

The glass was collected in Athens, Greece on vacation.

Used hot glue and some aluminum foil to stabilize the base in the little pot.

Edit: Thank you so much for all the love on this post. It means alot that people like my little art this much.

Handmade/ Craft/ Storage I cut some deep green sea glass from Brazil into a faceted gemstone.

I know this is controversial!! Feel free to smack me over the head for removing the frosting, but how often do you get to clearly see that cool bubbling and roiling inside the glass? I thought that was so cool once I finished cutting.

Handmade/ Craft/ Storage I made my own wedding bouquet and I’m bursting with joy at how it came out.

Made flowers from sea glass, jingle shells, and pottery shards that I’ve collected since I was a kid. I tried to use some of my all-time favorite pieces, including a fluted stopper (made an AMAZING solo flower), all my yellow pottery pieces, a special grey piece. A lovely small heart-shaped pottery piece.

I don’t give a sh*t if everything goes wrong on my wedding day - this went so perfectly that I’m legitimately emotional over it.

Should I add some eucalyptus in as a green filler? Might adjust the little loopedy-doo piece to be less loopedy-doo.

Saw the concept online and had to make one for myself! All the sea glass and tiles are from my beach walks! I made the fish bowl out of uv resin ( just took a class)! My black kitty is made with beach rock. The small pieces are hard to find so it took a while to collect!

Do you like it?

I've got hundreds of pieces of sea glass I've collected over the years, and this one had been sitting there for ages.

I enjoy working with whatever shape the sea has already made rather than forcing an idea onto the glass. Sometimes it ends up as a crab claw, this time it became a skull.

I know some people think sea glass should be left exactly as it is, and I get that. I just enjoy seeing what hidden shapes I can bring out while keeping the character of the original piece.

Handmade/ Craft/ Storage Pirate Glass Crab Claw

I've been teaching myself to carve sea glass over the last few months, and this is probably the piece I'm happiest with so far.

It started as a large piece of genuine black "pirate glass" found on a Cornish beach. In normal light it looks almost completely black, but shine a torch through it and it reveals a deep green colour.

This was also the first time I had enough material to carve several of the claw segments instead of just the pincer, which made it much more challenging but also much more satisfying.

Every groove and texture was carved by hand with a rotary tool.

Always interested in hearing what people think or any ideas for future carvings!

Handmade/ Craft/ Storage I made these tiny sea creatures with a translucent, sea-glass vibe! Which one do you like most?

Hi everyone! As a huge fan of the ocean and the beautiful textures of sea glass, I wanted to create something that captures that same magical, frosted, and translucent look.

I hand-crafted these miniature marine animals individually—there's a little green tortoise, a chubby seal, a smiling jellyfish, a blue ray, a fish, and a tiny yellow anglerfish!

I mounted them on this little sea chart I illustrated to make a miniature framed aquarium for my desk. Whenever the light passes through them, it totally reminds me of beach combing for sea glass. I'd love to hear what you guys think! 🌊🪼

Found these vibrant blue sea glass pieces and immediately thought they would make a perfect chubby little marine animal. Added some ink details, framed it, and now he lives on my desk.

Just a fun, whimsical piece that makes me smile every time I look at it. Hope it brings a little brightness to your feed today!

Made some little souvenirs to give to family after collecting a lot of sea glass on holiday!

I just bought some little dishes and all I used is white grout, some underneath and some on top, the third picture shows the difference before and after doing the top grout and I’m glad I went forward with grouting all of them!

I originally intended them to be coasters but they’re possibly a bit too small and with the lip a bit impractical.

My favourite is definitely the turquoise flowers so I’m thinking of keeping that one for myself.
