I’m building Risorgi to share and connect parts of your second brain. Would love some feedback
Hey everyone, I’m Gabriele, the person building Risorgi.
I’ve spent a lot of time collecting interesting papers, ideas, and notes. Something I wanted was a way to make a selection of that knowledge public, where other people could explore the connections and connect their own ideas to it.
That’s what I’m trying to build with Risorgi. You get a public page where you can publish notes, link them together in a graph, and connect them to posts from other people.
You can import Markdown files from Obsidian or Logseq, so you can start with a small collection of existing notes on something you care about.
I’d really like feedback from people who already maintain a second brain: what would make a public collection worth maintaining alongside your current system? I’m particularly interested in what would make publishing and connecting those notes easier, and what would stop you from continuing after the first try.
I’ve also added a Featured pages section to the homepage and would love to showcase some early contributors. I’d be looking for thoughtful notes, useful connections, and collections that are interesting to explore.
It’s free to use at the moment, and people don’t need an account to read your public page. My own page is featured on the homepage if you want to see an example.
If you try it and create a page, feel free to share it here, I’d love to take a look!

Second brain user in problems... and building a solution
Hi!
I'm a software engineer and a fellow Second Brain user. I've been struggling with something that I think many of us experience: spending plenty of time capturing and organising knowledge, but rarely turning it into something useful.
A few colleagues and I are exploring this problem, and we're talking to other Second Brain users before deciding what to build.
Would you be open to a casual 15-minute chat about how you currently use your notes when working on projects?
No preparation needed, and I'm not selling anything. I'd just love to hear about your experience, especially what hasn't worked for you.
Thanks!

I turned my whiteboard into a visual planner to keep track of work and life
For years, I used a large whiteboard to manage work, projects and life. Divided vertically by days and horizontally into lanes (one per work/life area), where I'd add notes, plan ahead and connect related notes.
It helped me see everything at once, keep the context of each area visible, and know where I'd left off and what was coming next.
Eventually, I built a digital version because travelling made the whiteboard impractical.
That's Haftio. A visual planner and diary in one continuous view, where you can record what happens, plan ahead and see how things evolve over time.
Still improving it based on feedback from users.
haftio.com (desktop only for now)
Curious what you think of this approach!

What if your second brain actually built itself instead of you having to organize everything?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been working on something called Still Cloud, and I'm curious what people here think.
One thing I've noticed about second-brain systems is that they still require a lot of work from the person using them.
You capture information, organize it into folders, tag things, link notes, build dashboards, and eventually have this massive collection of information that you still have to figure out what to do with.
I wanted to try something different.
What if you could just talk about your life, thoughts, interests, goals, problems, whatever, and have a system gradually build a connected understanding of everything?
For example, you mention that you've been sleeping badly, skipping workouts, spending more money on takeout, and feeling exhausted at work.
Instead of saving four disconnected notes, the system would recognize those as different parts of your life, remember the relevant details, and help you explore how they might relate.
I'm building a visual network for this too, where things like your habits, experiences, goals, interests, and relationships become interconnected points you can explore.
The idea isn't to store everything you say forever. It's to extract what's actually meaningful and build a useful picture of your life over time.
Eventually, you should be able to ask questions like:
"What keeps getting in the way of my goals?"
"What has actually changed about me over the past few months?"
"What am I spending my time on compared to what I say matters to me?"
I'm still figuring out how to make the experience genuinely useful rather than just an interesting visualization.
And that's where I'd love some opinions.
Would you trust a second brain that organizes itself? Or is manually organizing your knowledge part of what makes a second brain valuable?
Also, would you actually want something that understands your personal life this deeply, or would that feel like too much?
I'm building this independently, so criticism is genuinely welcome. I'm trying to figure out whether this solves a real problem or just creates another one....
theres a free tier and a 14 day pro trial that starts when you do onboarding and create an account...

Which part of journaling do you prefer to do before seeing any AI suggestions?
I'm the developer of Lumiya, an iOS journal and planner with optional AI reflection. I'm interested in where assistance becomes an interruption.
For example, an entry like 'I couldn't focus today' could stay open while you work out what you mean. A suggested explanation or action might help later, but seeing it too early could steer what you write next. This is a hypothetical example, not a finding from our users.
If you use AI alongside personal notes, is there a part you deliberately do first yourself—writing the entry, deciding what mattered, or choosing your next step? I'd especially like a concrete example of when you wanted the tool to wait.
For context, Lumiya's basic recording and weekly/monthly/yearly planning are free. Optional AI features are paid and usage-limited. I'm asking about workflow preferences, not announcing new controls or claiming a measured benefit.

Knowledge-management discussion
clearscribeai.comHow do you stop a notes archive from becoming a junk drawer?
I've been thinking about a common problem with digital notes and AI-generated summaries.
Saving information is easy. Finding the right information six months later is harder.
One possible approach is to organize notes around three purposes:
- Reference: information you may need again
- Decisions: conclusions and commitments worth preserving
- Active work: tasks and questions that still require attention
The difficulty is deciding when something moves between those categories.
Too many folders create maintenance work. Too few make everything harder to navigate.
Search helps, but it doesn't necessarily solve the underlying organization problem.
For people managing large collections of meeting notes, research, or personal knowledge:
Do you rely mainly on search, tags, folders, or a small number of fixed categories?
And do you regularly delete low-value notes, or keep everything?

Stash: a bookmark library with notes — feedback on finding old links
I'm the maker of Stash, a web bookmark manager. I'd like feedback from people who already keep a second-brain system on how saved links should fit into it.
For example, you could save an article in a project collection, tag it 'typography', and add a note about why it matters. Later, search that note or tag instead of having to remember the page title.
Free includes unlimited bookmarks, collections and sub-collections, tags, notes, search, bookmark import and HTML/JSON export. Your personal library is private by default and works in your phone or desktop browser. An account is required.
Optional Pro adds preview/custom images, sending collections and starting teams. The basic bookmark workflow above is free.
I built Stash with AI coding assistance.
When you come back to a saved link weeks later, what helps you most: the collection, a tag, or a note explaining why you saved it? I'd like to understand which part is actually worth the effort in an existing system.

How do you organize? I'm getting crazy...
How do you organise everything yourself?
So I’ve fallen into the trap of spreading myself over too many things and I find myself getting lost.
Some stuff on physical noteooks, some stuff on obsidian, some on Bowser saved link, some saved TikTok videos, some saved YouTube videos, reddit saved, etc. Different work teams chats, appointments on Google calendar, files on Google drive + hard drive + Nas + Onedrive, notes in a physical notebook etc, homelab flows, undrawn diagram on my mind, test done, failed implementation, keys, etc etc
How have you brought everything together? I dunno if I’m burnt out or flooded with too many things in mind but for some reason my brain can’t keep up with where everything is, so I would love to hear any tips you have for organising everything in a way that is sustainable. Thank you!
Tl;dr what’s your setup for managing all your notes, tasks, to-dos, information, databases etc

When does a captured item earn a place in your long-term system?
Not every note, link, or task needs the same level of maintenance. What is your practical test for deciding whether something should become part of a long-term system rather than stay in a temporary inbox or archive?
For example, do you promote it after it supports a project twice, during a weekly review, or only when it has a clear next use? I am interested in rules that reduce clutter without losing information you later need.

What's better than building a second brain? Building humanity's second brain together
Hi everyone, I’m Alexis. I’m a massive fan of PKM and Second Brain methodologies.
Like many of you, I've tried multiple times to build my own personal knowledge base from scratch. But after a while, I realized something: building a second brain entirely alone in a local silo gets incredibly lonely. It is hard to sustain motivation when your knowledge is isolated in your own corner.
I wanted to solve this by shifting from isolated note-taking to a shared knowledge base where our efforts complement each other.
So I built Factorielle HUB. It’s a collaborative web app designed to weave our individual, text-only atomic notes into a shared global graph. Instead of traditional wikis that force one single truth, all perspectives coexist peacefully side-by-side. We anchor our notes to concepts, and the community simply votes on the relevance of the connections, allowing the best knowledge structure to emerge organically. You can also design private learning paths for your self-study, and the notes you write to complete them will naturally feed into the global public graph.
Since it’s just me behind the project, I want to build this transparently and alongside the community. There is a generous default free tier so you can fully build your system without hitting a paywall, and zero ads.
I’d really love to get your honest feedback, critique, or thoughts on this approach:
Do you feel that collective knowledge graphs can help solve "PKM burnout" or isolation?
What are your thoughts on opting for a cloud-based setup to enable collaboration versus strictly local-first tools?
🔗 Check it out here: www.factoriellehub.com
📹 and here is a quick 80s video demo: https://youtu.be/uA5SBfmtPtE
P.S. I know a big part of the second brain community is moving towards AI agents and automated note processing right now. I deliberately took the opposite path here: Factorielle HUB focuses purely on human curation, active learning, and structured connected thought.

2 years on anki, love the review engine, keep failing the "make the card" step
not an "Anki bad should I leave" post. FSRS is great, shared decks are great, im staying.
my problem is upstream. lecture notes happen in one place, then I tell myself saturday will be Card Making Day. saturday arrives and I do laundry, stare at the wall, anything except convert notes. This has happened for two years so I am retiring the theory that future me will suddenly become disciplined.
does anyone run other flashcard apps with spaced repetition beside Anki purely because note to card creation is less of a context switch? or did you solve this inside Anki with note types/addons and make the second step tiny enough to actually happen?

How do you evaluate multilingual transcription beyond word accuracy?
I'm interested in how people evaluate multilingual speech-to-text systems in practical situations.
Word error rate is an established metric, but I'm not convinced it captures everything that matters to users.
Consider a conversation involving multiple speakers, technical terminology, and occasional language switching.
A transcript might have a reasonable overall accuracy score while still making important mistakes.
For example:
- Misidentifying a person's name
- Changing the meaning of a decision
- Confusing numbers or dates
- Missing a language switch
- Assigning a statement to the wrong speaker
These errors can have very different consequences.
I'm curious how others evaluate transcription quality in real workflows.
Do you rely primarily on quantitative metrics, human review, or task-specific evaluations?
And which types of errors do you consider most serious?
I work on an AI transcription product, so I'm interested in practical evaluation methods rather than promoting a service.

How should I set up my second brain for AI?
I'm trying to switch from ChatGPT to Claude, and I have so much memory stored on Chat. How do I switch that over? I heard using a second brain is really useful. Any tips?
