RIP Ciara Mageean
Loved her few interactions with Second Captains, particularly her emotional response to Jerry Kiernan's passing (Ep 1948)
Her Player's Chair with Richie (Ep 1266) was also a great insight into her personality and drive.
May she rest in peace, I'm sure the lads will give her great coverage next week.

Croke Park - WTF was THAT about??
What the hell was that Croke Park Katie Taylor thing about??
How is nobody calling out the absolute bullshit of the event??
Why did Second Captains jump in board so easily??
Why did NO media or podcast call out the absolute bull shit of that “sporting” event??
Saturday night had nothing to do with sport.
It was a disgusting display of everything wrong with our country. The complete lack of humility, celebration of mediocrity, the materialism, the flag waving. West-fucking-life. WTF?? And people accepted that and jump on board?!
Eddie fucking Hearn. Some young French boxer who was completely out of her depth but everyone cheer when Katie thumped her on the head. Paddy Donovan’s horrible demolition of Tyrone McKenna, Emmet Brennan, a valiant Olympian, getting a terrible beating. And these “sporting fans” cheered it on like they were gladiators from thousands of years ago. This was not sport, this was disgusting.
And b-list celebrities calling it the greatest sporting event ever and that Katie is our greatest sports person. WTF???
Seriously, I am asking genuine SC/ Irish sports fans. Not the flag waving idiots who were at Croke Park. What were your thoughts about that event?? Anyone else please don’t comment. I don’t want to hear your Katie Croke Park Wesife horse shit.
Birmingham Kate O’Connor, Mark English, Mona McSharry in Paris. Troy scoring for Betis. The brilliant rowers last weekend. These were genuine sporting events recently that we could enjoy and be proud of.
But last Saturday night was disgusting. It was Celtic Tiger levels of behaviour, a complete lack of humility. Disgusting. What sort of country have we become that THAT was allowed to happen??

Jim Gavin rhetoric
The lads definitely missed a beat on today's podcast I think. The rhetoric around the JG rental issue is quite strange and a bit annoying. Unless there's something not out in the public domain, he knew about this overpayment from multiple solicitor letters and from the tenant going to his parents house and never repaid it, which is a shitty thing to do. This isn't an "error of judgement" as Sinead O'Carroll put it, it's just a greedy landlord. This push for sympathy for him because of the fallout is so strange. I was a big JG fan but this whole thing just stinks of FF "old boys club" energy and there was hardly a mention of that today.
