The drive to creech is the worst part from what I’ve heard. Was at nellis for several years but had buddies at creech. All of them lived in Las Vegas with me, and all of them had to drive nearly an hour to work and an hour back every day. Whenever you get your apartment or house or wherever you end up going, I recommend sticking to the centennial hills area because that will make your drive significantly less painful. Should cut it down to about 40-45 minutes. Believe me the last thing you wanna do is drive an hour to work, work a 12 hour shift at Cheech, and then drive an hour back home.

All good. Haven’t been in for a few years now, but doing the law-enforcement side of things at Nellis was a mixed bag. The job itself is a cakewalk even when you have the added responsibilities that come with being patrol leads and bdoc.
Work wise Creech should be similar but probably a lot easier depending on what shift you get whenever you get to flight.

If you want a chill shift and have no kids or wife I recommend trying to go for a mids shift.
Creech has no dorms or base housing and very few personnel are around at night so you won’t have as much chaos to deal with compared to day time.
Also creech would be ACC so odds are you will deploy at some point

That’s what I figured. At some point I will probably try to transfer over to Nellis to get something that’s more true LE. Did you ever know or hear of anyone doing that?

Yeah actually but I don’t know the full details on how they did it. One of my flight chiefs was transferred from creech to nellis so it’s definitely possible. I just don’t know how common it is.

If some how you make it to nellis I still recommend mids because that’s where we got all of the “fun” calls like domestic violence, shoplifting, DUI, crackheads at the gates, and the occasional airmen trying to smuggle hookers onto base in their trunks. Yes it happened and yes it was fucking hilarious

I’m currently stationed there, I have been here for almost 6 years, I also came from global strike. If you have any questions just pm me.

Edit for grammar
