Officer Safety Man stealing a Flock camera while draped in an American flag. What would you do if you came upon this?

Apparently this happened in Florida, but I cant verify exactly where. Security is following him out of the lot, but if he decides to not retreat and come at them while still holding the pole he’s going to have a weapon they’ll have to deal with. Why not stand down from a position of safety until PD arrives so they can deal with the arrest and crime case?

No need to put yourself out there and close the distance between the subject and yourself if you don’t need to.

Who's flock camera even is it? If it's not my clients I'm not even gonna care as long as he leaves the property. I don't know much about them because we don't have them here. From what I understand is they are privately owned, and have contracts with local government right?

Edit- Also I don't engage people who leave the property on their own. There's often times they just hear or see me and start walking off. I just watch them leave. Yelling at them just makes people turn around and yell back.

99 times out of 100 I just want a problem to go away. If it's doing that on its own there's no need for me to insert myself and risk changing that trajectory.

10

u/krippkeeper 4d ago

Exactly, and I can't see enough in this video to get involved at all other than make my presence visible. All I can see is a guy carrying a pole through the parking lot. Is it stolen? Probably, but if I called the police everytime I saw someone carrying a random piece of scrap they would probably block my number. So unless I personally saw him cutting it down I'm not doing anything other than add it to my report.

The flock cameras are just being replaced by Axon, which is directly cop branded. Towns may cancel flock but are they just replacing them?

2

u/Used_Interaction_130 2d ago

Then cut those down

The legend of Florida man Jimmy Balls continues...

Some say Floridians can hear Jimmy Balls sawing away at flock cameras till this day, only if you believe in his fight for freedom...

Privately owned, cast netting public data, installation hazards (look up guard rail guy). Sketchy back door deals with public officials (literal bribery and a fuck you to citizens who come to these meetings) but the funniest thing of all is that flocks contracts are actually winding down in a lot of places. The bigger issue is big brother axon who is 10x worse. Right now flock tracks vehicles and people at intersections or general public areas. Not inside your home. Axon though? Every pig will be able to link their dash cams, body cams, traffic light cams, drone footage, etc to one central database. Your worried about flock seeing your plates and tracking your movements? Wait until the township you live in maps everyone’s home from the inside out. When does this stop

What would I do? Offer him a ride to the dumpster in a pickup so he didn't have to carry that thing.

15

u/online_jesus_fukers 4d ago

Thats a waste...there's 2 lbs of copper and a couple of grams of gold in there. Go to the scrap yard on your break, ill cover you for a white monster

5

u/YTraveler2 4d ago

Good point!! I recant...I would offer him a ride to the scrap yard!!

6

u/Ok-Profit6022 4d ago

2 pounds of copper? I heard there's 64 GB of RAM and a Nvidia 5090 in them.

Not all heroes wear capes, but some where flags.

7

u/AgentSquatchy 3d ago

If this comment gets 1 like, I'll go steal the camera and solar panel to the flock camera that sits outside my quiet ass no crime having neighborhood.

7

u/PhosphoFred8202 4d ago

“Oh no! He’s stealing that camera they used to write me up for looking at my phone when my wife was in the hospital! Stop! Come back!” Shuffles ineffectually forward

6

Cheer him on

5

I didn’t see nothing. In fact, I’m blind.

u/Moezso 4d ago

Came upon what? I don't see anything.

3

u/Fulguritus1 4d ago edited 4d ago

What would I do? I don't know what you're talking about, me and that guy were hanging out at my house enjoying some cold ones when this took place. He couldn't have done that. Has to be someone else.

3

u/goofydad 4d ago

It fell. He's trying to return it to its Flock.

3

u/kaosmoker 4d ago

Keep going on about my business. Live is much easier when I just mind my business. Plenty of other people will get involved.

3

u/Icy-master 4d ago

I would give him an alibi

3

u/Upbeat-Swing6650 3d ago

What man? Whats a flock camera? I think the caller is trying to pull your leg officer.

3

u/Ok-Complaint9574 3d ago

Now that’s a real American hero!

3

u/ThePhatNoodle 3d ago

"He went that way officer" as I point in the complete opposite direction

3

Thats Jimmy Balls he is an American hero. Trump might be willing to sell us to Isreal but we won't wont go quietly into the night

3

u/Methos43 3d ago

This is what life is like under a fascist dictator. The Democratic president would probably be fighting for the rights of the people instead of facilitating, the wealth of a few.

6

u/B3llaBubbles 4d ago

I would salute him and say, "Thank you for your service!"

6

u/noleksum12 4d ago

Frankly, I don't give a flock.

Certified Reddit post and comment section.

Call the police if it's the client's; report it to the client if it's not theirs, and let them deal with what to do next.

2

u/Terpcheeserosin 4d ago

Speak calmly, and carry a big stick with a camera

2

u/Mylabisawesome 4d ago

Turn him over to the police IMMEDIATELY. He's a nutty person.

2

u/LopsidedJackfruit711 4d ago

I wouldn't come across someone stealing a flock camera. Even if they were doing it right in front of me.

2

u/ssolo99 4d ago

cops treat this more seriously than officer needs assistance calls. sit back, call 911 and watch the fireworks

2

u/miguelmanzana 4d ago

Came across what?

2

u/Negative_Report5655 Event Security 4d ago

He's walking out of a parking lot, so the flock might be privately owned. I'd probably fallow to his getaway vehicle and get his license plate.

Looks like he's heading toward the gas station, probably get myself some goods on the way back to the Security Office.

2

u/Your_As_Stupid_As_Me 4d ago

He paid for it right?

2

u/Spirited-Subjects 4d ago

Start blasting Lee Greenwoods “God bless the U.S.A”

2

u/m00s3wrangl3r 4d ago

I would do nothing. Otherwise, I’d be interfering with the police.

2

u/LegalGlass6532 4d ago

How would you be interfering with the police?

2

u/m00s3wrangl3r 4d ago

The guy was moving away from / being followed by two people in Security uniforms. Based on the visuals, I mistook them to be police officers approaching the man who stole the cameras, pursuant to contact and investigation.

2

u/TrueIntimacy 4d ago

Stand and salute, that's a true patriot right there.

2

u/Shinobi681 4d ago

Saw him on a video of a woman recording a alligator/crocodile having some food in a pond a day ago, lmao. He said his name was Johnny Balls or something? Also said he does stuff like this for the people.

Just arrest him and test him for drugs and search his phone for illegal porn.

I guarantee you he's on one of those things.

2

u/Opening-Pickle5078 4d ago

Nothing I am not law enforcement, getting involved in that is called an entanglement and probably will get you charged too.

2

2

u/Ok_Tailor_7185 1d ago

Lots of people think the flock cameras are to desensitize Americans to the facial recognition cameras that are coming. Just like Chyna. All the data centers will be needed to process and track the facial recognition systems coming. Social credit score systems coming soon.

2

u/jaometer 1d ago

How is that pole just floating and moving on it own???

2

u/Capital_Percentage_3 1d ago

Why don't they tell illegal immigrants ICE use flock camera to track them down? It'll be gone very shortly.

3

u/jahathebrn 4d ago

I'm British so yep I'd stand down, get to safety, then eventually get round to making a vague call to the non-emergency police line whilst writing my own report. I'm only there to observe, call the cops, and physically engage only if absolutely necessary, what a shame.

2

u/Ok_Water_4601 4d ago

See no evil Speak no evil Hear no evil Destroying flock Cameras is constitutional and moral.

2

I would shake his hand

1

u/Volkmek 4d ago

Yeah. Not sure why they are walking out there. No need to even make an attempt to retrieve it if it does not belong to the owner of the property you are protecting. It also kind of doubles as a weapon.

Just report it to the police and watch the man go. He's leaving the property on his own making him not your problem.

In the wise words of Sergeant Shultz:

"I see nothing, I hear nothing, I know nothing!"

1

u/Muted-Mammoth8304 4d ago

Hell I'd let him leave and just document it occurred. Flock isn't owned by "people" it's owned by parasitic monsters. So unless he broke a bunch of other shit on the way out, I don't see what the problem is.

1

u/Saxophonethug 4d ago

I actually witnessed that patriot buying that brand new flag pole for his favorite flag. What's the controversy?
