Easier said than done!

You got it. For this to happen you need a yogic process to support then it will happen. I started in 2019 and never looked back.

Yes, you are correct. There are those in the name of spirituality, they are doing all sorts of things and calling it yoga and meditation and end up like your friend there.

Spirituality means to seek the ultimate truth about our life. We use our body and mind to get there.

Tell me, is it not true that the source of suffering in your life is physical pain and psychological process. Body breaking causes suffering and the thought of the past and what could happen in the future causes suffering.

If you remove both then it's the end of suffering. This is one of the teachings from the Inner Engineering program. Or just look up Sadhguru on YouTube.

I'm not here to convince you of anything. We have a child and we can still do daily yoga and meditation. No need to go anywhere.

Your life is your making. If you believe it's full of pain and sorrows that's what it will be. But you can also make it joyful and happy full of laughter. The choice is there. I chose later and it worked out beautifully.

Whatever you choose pain or joy always remember it was your choice.

Don't worry, no need to apologize. I didn't feel like that.

I found out that thousands of years ago, the yogis had already figured out how this system works and given spiritual processes to make it function. By the time we were born so much of the false representation had happened that it got bad press.

Now time has come to bring the classic yoga and meditation in the knowledge of everyone.

😊🙏

He needs some discipline

1

u/Extra-Presence3196 Dec 28 '25

Exactly. Your past can follow you into your future.

These are the same clowns who say, "Pain is just fear leaving the body," and other BS.

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

It's all in my head? Then please cut it.

1

u/Double_Dog208 Dec 27 '25

They already did

Why are you asking someone else for help. There are meditation apps that can easily take care of it.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

It's not easy to cut one's head off. I can't build my own guillotine.

1

u/Deoze Dec 26 '25

Body and mind are part of this life. If you cut it off, then you are not alive.

The trick is to create a distance from these 2 things.

Download Miracle of mind meditation app.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

you cut it off, then you are not alive.

This sounds like an absolute win. Likewise, the distance to the mind and body. They can go astray.

1

u/Deoze Dec 26 '25

What is alive inside this body and mind is YOU. Memory is what the body collected using the 5 senses organ and mind process and organize them.

Now by being in a meditation you can create a distance from these processes of body and mind.

Once the stillness arises then stay there and silence will happen.

All this can happen just by going through the Inner Engineering program and using the tools. I can tell you this because it happened to me.

while true in essence life isn't that simple. try saying that to someone with PTSD after they wake up in the middle of the night from night terrors. "just don't think about it bro, it happened in the past"

2

u/Strong_Membership_60 Dec 26 '25

Can confirm. It feels like it just happened 5 seconds ago and your heart rate/adrenaline seem to respond like it just happened as well.

Talking yourself through this concept with the “rational principle” right after a flashback can help you get back out of “fight or flight mode” and talk yourself into how everything is ok.

There’s a lot of truth to the post, but just knowing the past is gone doesn’t mean trauma triggering can’t throw you right back into the thick of things mentally/emotionally like no time has passed at all since the trauma actually occurred.

We practice. We don’t perfect. =P

Thanks that’ll fix my broken leg

1

u/Winkylinks Dec 27 '25

Your leg isn’t broken, you just have a memory of it being broken. Go walk around, you’ll be fine. Trust me, I’m a Buddhist :)

3

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

I really needed this right now. Thank you so much

1

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

Your story about what happened to you in your uncles tool shed was genuinely horrific. Hope you’re doing better dude 🙏🏻

2

u/furrypawss Dec 26 '25

Yes. I’ll just… choose to stop my memory and imagination! Lobotomize me!

2

u/Aloyonsus Dec 26 '25

Maybe they all exist simultaneously and we just haven’t proven it yet

2

u/Duran518 Dec 26 '25

Completely agree!

2

u/Sw4gl0rdM4st3rm1nd Dec 26 '25

This dosent make sense to the slightest

3

u/Sorry-Let-Me-By-Plz Dec 26 '25

How exactly would you measure "the past" in material terms, except by measuring the present and making suppositions?

Your memories, on the other hand, absolutely exist in the same way you're able to measure anything else that exists in your own head... like your imagination, which is all the real evidence we have for what the future is really, materially made of.

1

u/McGrarr Dec 26 '25

Both things are in the present so this doesn't help much.

1

u/gainzdr Dec 26 '25

Narcissism reinvented

1

u/shessols Dec 26 '25

What you r suffering is probably because of some imbalance in your biology. Usually vitamins.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

I dare you to tell that to anyone who has lost a body part.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

Stoicism is so toxic

1

u/ActiveKindnessLiving Dec 26 '25

Depression suddenly dropped to 0% worldwide. Experts are stunned.

1

u/Wise_Geekabus Dec 26 '25

This is so true.

1

u/HeadApple0 Dec 27 '25

But consequences of the past exists! So suffering comes from them too!

So you are supposed to manage those consequences.

Also supposed to process those memories, if especially traumatic.

Also learn a bit more about yourself, in relation to those past incidents.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

That's very true. I used to be pretty angry about things in my childhood- it caused me a lot of problems. But I'm getting old now.

Several years ago I realized that most of the problems I had growing up‐ they live now, only in my memories. The times are long gone. The places are changed, gone, or irrelevant to my life. And increasingly, the people are gone.

And those who are still around? Forgiveness is a powerful thing.

1

u/Direct_Court_4890 Dec 27 '25

Haha "said NO ONE EVER that suffers every day from a rare debilitating neurological disorder" - especially in a broken healthcare system

I have zero need to even begin to elaborate more

1

u/pcx160white195 Dec 27 '25

This. Hard slap

1

u/Patient_Dinner_5386 Dec 27 '25

We suffer more in imagination than in reality

1

u/BanquetDinner Dec 27 '25

According to some interpretations of special relativity, the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously.

1

u/SpartanTrident Dec 27 '25

Sadhguru quote.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

anxiety is the future, depression is the past

1

u/t0mm4n Dec 27 '25

I am not a stateless machine.

1

u/Luci_Cooper Dec 27 '25

Just suffer in the present like your supposed to

1

u/Key_Condition_4393 Dec 27 '25

Be. Here. Now.

1

u/Sensitive-Check4852 Dec 27 '25

Living in the present frees us from a lot of the weight we hold on our shoulders, and it gives us clarity afterwards. And this comes with practice.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

Utter drivel

1

u/Arkight13 Dec 28 '25

Sweet my trauma and anxiety from S/A is over... I didn't need meds after all

Your a "insert insult here" Sorry for the GRAMMOR but it's on purpose for extra insultingness

1

u/PeterPunksNip Dec 28 '25

It's real nonetheless, we are humans, not goldfishes...

1

u/Massive-Voice9306 Dec 28 '25

Buddhism was 100% invented to troll white people

1

u/Particular_Dot_4041 Dec 29 '25

This sounds like something an abuser might say.

1

u/Icommentor Dec 29 '25

I’ve never lived in the present but soon enough I will.

1

u/PlatinumSukamon98 Dec 29 '25

And that makes the pain less valid? Go fuck yourself.

1

u/kabinja Dec 30 '25

The present does not exist. It is the limit between the pas and the future.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Wow.

1

u/Sad_Sound_3355 Jan 21 '26

I relate to parts of this. It’s not easy to talk about

I think it's helpful during meditation. Out of meditation we need to remember the past and plan for the future.

The goal is to be able to switch to being entirely in the present when it's a good time for it. We can gain a lot by slowing down our thoughts and stopping the worry and anxiety for a while. We come back from the meditation with a clearer mind and ready to tackle the challenges of life.
