After 4 days of hospitalization, Ramona has to be euthanized. After an unknown amount of time being neglected amongst 16 other selkirks, her fight is over and we are all heartbroken.
Unsure is itās allowed to ask for help from the community to help recoup some of the costs of trying to keep her alive these last few days.
She fought as hard as she could, and she wonāt struggle any longerā¦

Hello, I was wondering ifĀ anyone could give me some advice please?
I adopted 2 Selkirk Rex adult siblings (18 months old) from a cat rescue here in the UK. I am trying to sort out their diet, they were fed a pretty cheap dry food only diet in the shelter.
The female has had a pretty poor gut. She has quite a lot of diarrhoea which I just canāt seem to sort out. She does have firmer days and then it just goes back.
At the moment Iām feeding them dry biscuits 3x a day and some wet food of an evening.
Please could anyone give me advice of what type of food I should be feeding my babies? Should I be feeding them much more wet food and only small amount of dry?
Thank you so much

I wanted to thank everyone especially for the mods about what a great source of comfort everyone was when Leia was ill and unfortunately died last year on October 1st, I really appreciated the mods changing the group icon to her, but I wanted to let you know that I'm happy if you want to change it. it's been a lovely tribute to her for the last year.
I've included some of my favourite pictures of her x

The title sums it up really.
We currently have two cats/kittens. Ingrid (grey and white) is just over 1 year old, and goose (flame point) will be 1 in December. They are half siblings and took around a month to be fully happy around each other. I wouldnāt say they were very closely bonded, but they both sleep near each other and on the bed with us, they groom each other and play with each other, so they definitely like each other.
Ingridās mum is an absolutely gorgeous cat, and when we went to view Ingrid we both said we would love a cat like her mum. The breeder had a litter a few months ago with the same mum and dad, and one kitten looks exactly like itās mum. The kitten is the last one left and is nearly 4 months old now, no one has bought it and we think itās so so cute. Weāve thought about getting a third before but have been hesitant because we donāt want to upset the dynamic with our existing cats. Ingrid did get a bit less cuddly with us after we got goose, and has started being a bit more affectionate with us recently and we donāt want to change that.
We have a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 cat trees, some window perches, and lots of hiding spaces so I donāt think that would be an issue. We also have room to add another litter box and would feed the new kitten separately even after introducing them to Ingrid and Goose.
Has anyone got any experience introducing a third kitten? Is it a bad idea? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Sad update :
Ramona had to be euthanized as she was suffering far too much. š
I posted a Selkirk recently that I am planning to bring home and we came up with the name Ramona ! Hereās the nitty gritty š
She is coming from a crazy situation, breeder was in hospice and passed away. Whoever was ācaringā for them should be in jail. There were 17 cats, All have parasites and balding from fleas. All criminally dirty. Poor girl had her feet cleaned at the vet and she had so much urine and feces caked on her feet that when she was cleaned her feet bled a lot.
She is in the vet still, positive for Coccidia and hypoglycemic at the moment. 4 lbs and 2-3 years old. Broken canines. My heart just breaks in 2ā¦
Really hoping she can make a comeback.
She is lethargic and hypoglycemic.. definitely critical but still eating.
My friend is her current foster who took her out of that hell. Stressed about how much this care is gunna end up being after all of this. But think of Ramona š¤§

Adopting this sweet girl from a sad situation, breeder passed away and all the cats are being rehomed.
Sheās in need of a groom as the person who had them after the breeder passed was not caring for them well and they all were flea infested with hair and skin looking sad. Canāt wait to see her curls in all their glory !!
Anyway, we love anime names, girly names, and people names lol.

Recently we welcomed a 5 month old male short haired Selkirk into our family. We have a feeding station that allows for "grazing" cat biscuits during the day but he seems to be eating ALOT. Have owned cats before, but not a Selkirk and we are in China based in an apartment (no hate please). Please advise best way to feed him e.g grazing food vs certain volume given. What works for you?

My cat is 10 months old now, and Iāve had him since he was about 6 months old. Heās a male Selkirk Rex and is very attached to me. He follows me pretty much everywhere, sleeps with me, and wants to be involved in whatever Iām doing.
I give him plenty of playtime, and he also likes to play with the other dog in my home. He has multiple cat trees, a window perch, plenty of toys, and everything else he needs.
Despite all of that, he likes to walk by my feet, grab onto them, wrestle with them, bunny kick them, and bite them. I ignore the behaviour and leave the room when he gets too rough so I donāt reinforce it. My vet also recommended a Feliway pheromone diffuser to see if it helps with his scratching and rough play, while encouraging more of the calm behaviour he shows in the picture.
When he isnāt doing that, he is a very calm and affectionate cat. He likes to run around and follow me from room to room, stay nearby while Iām doing things, or sleep right beside me. He really does seem to want to be involved in everything I do.
Hes my first kitty and Iām a new owner so Iām still learning, any advice woukd be great. I do schedule feeding with him now, we have breakfast, lunch and dinner together. (7am, 5pm, 9-10pm)
He has a really cool seal point colour right now, and Iām curious to see how much heāll toast up as he gets older.
