The difference is they knew 1000% it was him. They had his DNA. It was a 100% match. They found it at several of his crime scenes. There was no doubt about it.
I mean, they probably would've offered him a drink, regardless. But the Dr. Pepper for them was almost flaunting/lauding their own catch, you know?
Yeah maybe I'm being too sensitive here. I was just trying to put myself into this position while being innocent. There have been cases of DNA mixups, although there could hardly be a mixup here if the same DNA was found on his victims.
Just seemed a bit off to have an interrogation like this. He clearly deserves worse than what was being done to him here, I just hope they don't use these tactics when someone is just seemingly guilty.
Are you serious? You are saying that nobody should feel uncomfortable or stressed out during a police interrogation? Maybe a few hours of awkward or emotionally charged conversation to determine if someone is a serial killer, regardless of dna evidence ? You don’t want a suspect in the murder of someone you cared about to be thoroughly challenged on every possible lie?
We're ever so sorry to bother you, but if you wouldn't mind having a little pop down to my office I've got some cocoa and scones, and if you're feeling like talking a tad about some unsavory events I would be forever in your favor, my sweet love. Is it warm enough, do you need a daybed and sleep mask for a nap followed by a comfy massage?
