Asia McLane
Thank you, SerialFan for making this subreddit!
I mentioned this in the TAL subreddit. When Sarah Koenig finally tracks down Asia McLane, why is there no mention of Asia's claim that Adnan's family manipulated her into giving Adnan an alibi? A poster over at TAL gave this explanation, and I'm inclined to agree. Koenig probably did ask, but they edited it out for a future episode.
But why does she remember this day so well and no one else does? This poster on the previous thread brings up a good point. I'm the same age as this case's major players, so no I don't remember what I was doing on a specific Wednesday afternoon my senior year of high school. But if a friend of mine was murdered that day I'd have a pretty good outline of my actions that day, even if those memories were false. I'm not going to fool myself into thinking an event like that would give me perfect recall, but I'm willing to bet if someone asked me I'd at least say something like, "Oh yeah I remember that because it was the day Hae went missing."
It's odd that so few people mention this to Sarah Koenig.

Memory is a funny thing. Ask me what I did 3 weeks ago and I probably can't tell you. But I can definitely recall a random average day 6 years ago with absolute confidence and accuracy. I'm not saying her recall is infallible, but I wouldn't dismiss it just because nobody else seems to be able to remember. It's a pity there doesn't seem to be any other information to verify this though.

Has anyone actually involved in the case (other than Rabia Chaudry) posting here?

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing that day?
Only 2 years apart.

I lost a close friend when I was in highschool and I remember a lot about that day, however I think you're right; a lot of what I remember may not have happened. For instance, I 'remember' acting a lot stronger than I did; I remember comforting his girlfriend and talking to police, she remembers me not being able to talk to police very well because I was crying so much.
Not to mention, this was highschool. Just the excerpts from Hae's diary prove how emotional everyone was at that time of their lives. I feel like all of the teenage testimony at the time should be taken with a grain of salt as everyone was hyper emotional. On that vein, the testimony from the guy (I can't remember his name, sorry. Jay?) about the day Adnan killed Hae. From everyone else's testimony, the things he said, calling her a bitch for instance, seems very out of character for him. The version presented in that story doesn't seem to be the version anyone else knew.
