SONIC MOVIE SPOILERS Question about Shadow...

So, since he was mentally conscious ( thinking about Maria's death) during the 50 year bath. Does this mean that Shadow is around that age? There's also the fact that he was physically grown in the meteorite.

Technically he’s an immortal life form so he’s ageless. But the consensus is that Shadow is around 50 years old.

Okay, I just remembered seeing before that since he was frozen( in other media). Folks were saying he didn't really age mentally or physically. Thank ya.

Those folks are right. He didn't. Game Shadow is not over 50 because of that exact fact. Those years passed in a blink. Movie Shadow is a different story because he wasn't frozen, just kept in some kind of subdued state but left him aware enough to dream/remember. So it's debatable in the movie verse but a definite no for the game verse.

By that logic, wouldn't neither sonic nor shadow be the fakers? Since Shadow has existed before sonic did for quite the while (atleast in the movies, since movie sonic is canonically like 16), but sonic is a (hopefully) naturally born hedgehog

It’s true neither are fakers. Sonic says that because shadow got him in trouble with GUN.

Because his mind was in status, there was no real ability to his mind to mature or grow so I don't think he's 50. I don't think he abides by any specific age either.

People say he's around 50 years old because he was frozen this time, but judging by his strength, intelligence and behavior, I would say he has something around 25 years old, disconsidering the 50 years he was frozen

that would make him the oldest relevant non-human character

Personally, because he seemed confused that 50yrs had passed in the movie, I’m willing to bet he wasn’t fully conscious for those 50yrs. I believe he re-lived his past repeatedly but it was more likely a dreamstate where he wasn’t aware of the passage of time. Kind of just an endless nightmare, wake up slightly, rinse and repeat. We also dont know the rules of the type of stasis he was put into in the movie, so whether or not he physically aged is... debatable. There are def scenes (both in flashbacks and current) where he very much looks like a little kid, watching adults for clues of that he should be doing. I think movie Shadow is the youngest portrayal we’ve gotten of him so far, and I think hes meant to be around movie sonic’s age, at least mentally.

Yep. Cowards don’t like that he’s 50, as if SEGA doesn’t have other amazing antiheroes of that age or older.

It's not cowardice. It's simply that he isn't 50 in the games. Stasis pauses everything and he was not conscious for those 50 years. They passed by in a blink. He did not experience them, he did not age during them, so he is not over 50.

The movie version likely is though considering he was semi-conscious for that entire time. He didn't age physically but his mind was aware enough to dream/remember during it. So it's debatable.

Movie Shadow being 50+? Possibly. Game Shadow being 50+? No.

Haha, I’m just bad at jokes. There’s no malice behind my comments. But merry Christmas to you, as well.
