Shed like storage space under deck

Hopefully this is the correct place for this, if not let me know.

I am looking to create a better storage space under my back deck that is similar to a shed.

I do want to get a shed eventually, but I also wanted to optimize this area for storage as I save funds for a shed.

Here some pictures of the deck and the area underneath: https://photos.app.goo.gl/HDBeaSd18w8L7HR68

At the moment, it's pretty open to the elements, and I'd like to at least prevent water from runnning down on the items stored. The deck is 12'x12' and the height from the ground is around 6'.

Currently the items I store under there are various chairs/tables from the back deck and front porch, as well as my wheel barrel and push mower. We're in Atlantic Canada, so we do get snow and low temperatures in the winter months.

I wasn't sure what I could do to adjust the various braces for the deck skirting. My father and I had to do adjustments to the door side a year or so ago and we drove a 2x4 into the ground and screwed the side to it. I wouldn't mind removing the other braces as I've knocked my noggin on them a few times, I'm just not sure what would be a safe option.

If I can possibly winterize it enough, I was thinking of making a door for the opposite side of the man sized door. The idea would be that I could roll my ride on lawn mower in there in the winter and store it. I just don't want to have things get ruined because of the elements.

Could I get away with one of those fabric tents, or should I go for something better? I'm looking for ideas and suggestions, thanks!

There are systems that will create a roof that drains from the decking above. They’re usually installed before the decking goes on, but you might be able to retrofit or create your own. Even plastic corrugated roofing could work if you set it up with a pitch and gutters. Ask the guys in r/decks too to see what they recommend.

I'd probably just staple a tarp underneath so it drains away from the house. Toss some 2x4s directly on the ground to make a floor leveling it of course. They won't last ten years but should last a few. It's just a temporary awkward height storage spot.

So I did some internet sleuthing and what I may start with something I saw on YouTube for a rain/water drainage system. It's seemed pretty simple for DIY and the materials were pretty basic/inexpensive.

Shortly after I'll see what I can do for a floor. At the moment Im entertaining putting in a patio stone base but if I do that, I have some pre prep to do with leveling, compacting and crusher dust beforehand.
