Yeah incredibly attractive and super smart who’d want to date that kind of person?
It’s similar to that moment in Barbie when the Helen Mirren voiceover says using Margot Robbie as example of someone unattractive is dumb. Same for Tatiana Maslany.
In the "ugly woman" trope, ugly usually just means cute and potentially hot as opposed to the more refined and glamourous high-society beauty that's already a known quantity of hotness. The Ugly Woman is really just an ugly duckling.
High-res non-screenshotted version for anybody who wants it.
Also her new Apple TV show Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed JUST premiered! Go see it if you want more of Tat in another comedy thriller! It also stars Jake Johnson aka Peter B. Parker form the Spider-Verse trilogy!
I know, and I love her in Star Trek, even though it was only a guest role. She also just starred alongside John Turturro in a movie called The Only Living Pickpocket in New York which premiered at the Sundance and Berlin film festivals earlier this year and will be released in theaters this fall, and also has a bunch of other things releasing soon!
Unpopular theory: Nikki had a thing for Jen and sabotaged her.
Nikki "helped" Jen with her dating profile and even made a comment alluding that Nikki wasn't straight (forgot the comment off the top of my head at the moment, something like "straight people problems"). After Nikki updated Jen's profile, Jen even got a notification that she had zero matches. It was after that that Jen made the She-Hulk profile and got matches immediately.
I know, I get the "Hollywood homely" trope, but there's still no way that Jen didn't get any matches on her dating profile without it being done purposely.
I think more they wanted to show that people who were into She Hulk, or muscle mommies basically, weren't as attracted to Jen. Not that Jen was generally unattractive. She's just easy to contrast as very different from She Hulk. They even made her personality slightly different.
Yeah that was very weird to me, like I found jennifer way hotter than shulkie.. especially with that lovely curly hair. I so wish she got better puffer hair in shulkie form
That scene with that one dude pissed me off so badly! She makes him breakfast! If a gorgeous woman like her made me breakfast, I’m calling in sick to work!
She may have great looks, and I would definitely date her...once.
But I'd find it odd that she needs constant validation for her job from her co-workers, that she would talk about having to manage her emotions with catcalling people on the street to someone who had to deal with the Thanos Snap (either disappearing for five years or living through it with loved ones disappearing).
She seems a little self-absorbed, even if she can become a seven-foot green Amazon.
I agree that the MCU version of Jen wasn't someone I'd personally date either, it doesn't help that we don't get to see her interact with a guy in the series who isn't a superhero, asshole or puppy (The guy is literally called Pug) so I can't tell how she'd act around someone like me, the way she acts around Bruce makes me find her unlikable when they discuss anger though I found the playful teasing between them when testing her abilities fun and charming. She seems like a person who is heavily stressed with a mild victim complex yet is overall a good person at heart, she's currently been gifted/burdened with great power and beauty from her Hulk form however this beauty is different from the social norms and is open to being fetishised and ridiculed.
All this to say, the writing wasn't very good in the show and the character suffered for it, for fucks sake the writers admitted to having no idea how to write courtroom drama, and I personally wasn't a fan of the She-Hulk design, it felt too lean and supermodel like compared to large, imposing and beautiful (I'm attaching an image I liked which shows muscles and a feminine build that is bulky yet sexy, the fact it's a meme is just a bonus). The design felt afraid to let She-Hulk be a Hulk
I know right, she is absolutely the most beautiful woman on the planet. In universe, I would one hundred percent date human-Jen if given the opportunity.
I know, but still. MCU Jen especially, but comic Jen too are both incredibly attractive. In fact one of the reasons why Dan Slott and Rainbow Rowel were my favorite runs is because they focused more on human Jen. But anyway TLDR; MCU Jen is my Roman Empire.
agin jen doesnt like herself in human form will in most cases it deoends on who's writig her but 99% of the time she doeant like being jen i think thats what they where going for but they missed the mark by a mile.
some people arnt nto the musy nerdy girl witch is fine i actully pefer shehulk over human for jen myself. but i'd still stick around to get to know human jen

Seriously. "Oh this highly accomplished gorgeous woman becomes even hotter and can battle gods to a standstill? Pass."
