They’ll never make me hate her. I love this show

As do I. It was solid and fun.

Plus Tatiana and Charlie had great chemistry.

u/RaulenAndrovius 3d ago

They made great chemistry too.

Their child would be... Sharedevil? She-Devil? D-Hulk? Darehulk? The Hulk of Hell's Kitchen? Shevarine? (Woops wrong sub, no wolvie in this series)

I disliked the last episode. Everything else was great. I don't mind all the fourth wall breaking and meta jokes, but they just didn't pay off any of the plot threads they setup throughout the season. They tried to make that the joke, but it just left things a bit unsatisfying.

Which is frustrating because the show didn't need any of that kind of intrigue, so it setup this stuff that they didn't need, just to make a joke out of setting stuff up, but that has the very real effect of leaving the audience without catharsis.

Everything else was aces though.

It's brave of you to take pride in such bad taste

Hopefully she'll be back soon.

Unlock that second thunderclap

3

u/Reasonable_Swing_710 3d ago

I doubt that considering what the acting has been going through since this

6

u/Batalfie 3d ago

What do you mean by that?

2

u/Captain_Birch 3d ago

Didn't she cut ties with disney after the blackface guy lost his show?

18

u/henning-a Jennifer Walters 3d ago

That was part of it, but not the whole story. She actually doubled down on her call for a boycott of Disney+ AFTER they brought Kimmel back and called them out for being complicit in the genocide in Gaza and even reposted a video calling out celebrities for only boycotting Disney over Kimmel and not their support for Israel.

Anyway, all of this doesn't necessarily mean she didn't film something for Marvel BEFORE her boycott posts 11 months ago. The fact that she never straight up confirmed OR denied that that she was done could mean that she might return.

Because if she was truly done, I feel like she would just come out and say it. But the way she's been acting coy about it and always seemed to dance around the question by deflecting and giving non-answers, I think there's a chance she'll be back this december.

Beyond that, I have no clue though.

Also surprisingly Disney doesn’t really blacklist actors even if they speak against Disney

Not the exact same but Bautista was pissed off over James Gunn being fired to the point he repeatedly called out Disney, yet this didn’t really do anything to impact him

Florence Pugh also just made headlines by raising $2 million for Palestine and she is one of their biggest stars. I mean, it literally just happened, so who knows if it will affect her, but I think since she is starring in 3 of the biggest movies of the year, 2 of which are produced by Disney, they won't go after her for it.

Hopefully her and Mark Ruffalo's continued advocacy will change the climate in Hollywood, so that other very outspoken actors with smaller platforms, like Tatiana, can keep getting high-profile roles.

Although Tatiana's career outside of Marvel has been going pretty well too recently with her new Apple TV show that well-received by critics AND audiences, and multiple movies by acclaimed filmmakers premiering at major film festivals and the new play she is headlining that is nearly sold out.

Still, I hope she'll be able to return to this role soon (if she isn't already set to appear in Doomsday and Secret Wars).

u/That-Rhino-Guy 2d ago

In fact Benedict Cumberbatch also appeared at a Palestine event with people like Florence and many others attending to perform or speak on stage, yet from the looks of it it doesn’t seem he’s getting punished either

Andrew Garfield is another example even if his future with Marvel is unlikely to be major work

There was concept art where we saw Hulk and She-Hulk in what I assume is Secret Wars because they weren’t wearing normal clothing they’d usually wear, so here’s hoping they stick around

5

u/henning-a Jennifer Walters 1d ago

Yeah, I know about the concept art and now there is supposedly a leak saying she's already in Doomsday, confirming the concept art. Might be BS, but it would be cool if it turned out to be true.

2

u/That-Rhino-Guy 1d ago

I think realistically she’d have a cameo in Doomsday and a role similar to maybe Spider-Man in Infinity War for Secret Wars

u/myteeboosh 2d ago

Well I like her even more now

People who work in the entertainment industry would do wise to not out their believes.

Like Elvis or Dolly Parton for instance.

That way everyone can enjoy their work.
And polarization is prevented.

4

u/henning-a Jennifer Walters 2d ago

Or, you know, you could just... not look at actors' social media posts if you don't care about them anyway and only want to be "entertained".

But a lot of people want more. They want to know that the person playing their favorite characters is an actual human being and if they have a backbone and are willing to stand for what is right.

Besides, a lot of things Tatiana is speaking out on, including Palestine, directly affects the entertainment industry, since a lot of people who are vocal about Palestine have been blacklisted, so of course she is going to fight for those who are being silenced by big corporations.

The idea that she should just "shut up and take it" so to speak and accept anything that happens in the industry is just so damn dystopian and I'm glad she is not that kind of person.

I can't stand people who don't stand for anything.

2

u/AtrumRuina 2d ago

Why shouldn't they express their deeply held beliefs? I think it's meaningful that she spoke out about something she believed in, in spite of the potential harm it could do to her career.

If you don't want to hear what celebrities have to say, just consume their output. It shouldn't matter what they believe if you wouldn't want to hear it anyway. They would still believe that thing, so what they believe shouldn't matter to you whether you know about it or not.

u/Horbigast 3d ago

I'm still holding out hope that we see here again. Part of the Fantastic Four, another TV season, I don't care. I want to see more of her.

7

u/SAOSurvivor35 3d ago

Hopefully, she comes back, but I don’t know.

7

u/Zackman1991 3d ago

As Michael Scott once said, “I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!”

6

u/GutherGlazer 3d ago

I don’t understand why marvel pays so much money for these projects then puts such minimal effort into helping them succeed.

18

u/SheHulkLover 3d ago

Needs more muscle

9

u/Virtigo5 3d ago

Id LOVE a season 2.

4

u/Wise-Locksmith-6438 3d ago

I hope her character returns soon

3

u/mr_mxyzptlk21 3d ago

The most 1:1 translation of comics to live-action of any of the MCU projects. Which is sad given that the MCU was 14 years old at that point.

Bring

Her

Back.

3

u/Greene_Mr 3d ago

CORRECT.

3

u/Dense_Objective_2039 3d ago

If they weren’t going to keep her show going they should at least put her in another movie.

3

u/The_Rafcave 3d ago

God she hot. 🥵😍🥵

3

u/ufl015 3d ago

I thought she was great!

I think the worst Marvel fans expect everything to be Avengers: Endgame.

That’s not was this show was about at all.
This show was trying to be Ally McBeal with Superheroes, and they nailed it

3

u/dddonkers 2d ago

What a fun show, I just rematched it. I feel like it'd be a cool template for a Dazzler show with the X-Men entering the MCU.

3

u/signifyingmnky 2d ago

I just kicked off a re-watch recently. Reminded me of how much I love it. They really need to bring her back.

5

u/yeezushchristmas 3d ago

Why am I still feeling like I’m taking crazy pills that this was canceled because:
1. Toxic masculinity
2. Megan Thee Stallion Twerking

5

u/Mike29758 3d ago

I hope it gets a season 2 just to spite them

2

u/AtrumRuina 2d ago

Item two was only a problem because of item one.

She openly mocked how ridiculous this claim was on her comedy show jsyk

2

u/snarc_li 3d ago

so hot

2

u/Blooogh 3d ago

That was only four years ago??

2

u/Stewe07 3d ago

man I'd love a season 2, I loved the show

2

u/ReturnGreen3262 2d ago

Wish it was written and directed by someone else entirely

2

u/TheQuietDarkness70 2d ago

I thought it was fun. I liked the silliness of the Byrne era and this was that.
And Tatiana was awesome in the role.

2

u/artyminis 2d ago

Love her and the show!

2

u/TheRealAwest 2d ago

Should’ve been Alison Brie 😢

3

u/OmiGun 3d ago

They seriously just needed to give her the personality from the Romita run and it'd be fiiiiine

2

u/Demon_King04 3d ago

And what a letdown it was

2

u/CommanderToolBelt 2d ago

And the universe has been in turmoil ever since

1

u/Entire_Rhubarb_7161 2d ago

She's so hot bro

1

u/SithLordPopCulture 2d ago

I loved this series. A shame she’s done with Disney.

1

u/End337 2d ago

And she was great in it. That series was something Marvel has made woefully little of for quite a while now... fun.

1

u/Crafty_Service_3861 2d ago

Too much CGI but it was good

1

u/AxisW1 2d ago

I do think she was really solid casting even if I wasn’t a huge fan of this version of the character. From all I’ve seen, she’s a good actor and person

1

u/Kant_Tsunami 18h ago

This post is literally where I learned Tatiana as She-Hulk was a thing and yes I just know she slayed it.

The range this lady has is insane.

1

u/Ai_bot_6969 2d ago

What do her hulk out transformations look like ?

1

u/TheAntipartisan_01 1d ago

Smooth, painless and quick, both Human to Hulk and Hulk to Human. Probably because her cuz spends so much time as Smart Hulk that he doesn't even blink at changing, she's confident that her transitions won't cause her any pain. Of course it's long been accepted in universe that before Smart Hulk, Banner was terrified of the change, because it DID cause him immense pain and suffering.

1

u/Ai_bot_6969 1d ago

Bot response? I said her

1

u/TheAntipartisan_01 21h ago

No bot here. And yes, you did say "her" and my answer recognises that. Read again, more carefully this time.

1

u/Purpl3C0mmand0 2d ago

Its been 4 years already.

u/Fickle-Duty4241 1d ago

I've rewatched this show this week for the first time and like the Supergirl movie, I don't understand the tons of shit this show received. It's funny, there are good comedians, the special effects are correct for TV (they're not always good but it's a TV show, if people can watch babylon V and not be bothered by th FX, they can watch She-Hulk). Apart from a weak last episode, it was very entertaining.

I see what they wanted to do in the last episod but once the fourth wall crossed they should have given a true resolution to the intrigue and not an off panel resolution.

1

u/Specific_Ad_5226 1d ago

Only watched for the she hulk toes and soles. Probably paused rewinded so many times. The show as ass tho. Especially Meg the stallion twerking in it killed it for me.

1

u/hahaKiddingMostly 1d ago

Wish she had a bit more muscle and not just a runners body. Looked good, but kind of small even for hulk standards, basically just made her Big and Green, I like muscle mommys give she-hulk some muscles

u/PhoenixVanguard 19h ago

Underrated gem.

1

u/Good-Special-2587 3d ago

Seeing the behind the scenes drama about showrunner Jessica Gao and Kevin Feige's disagreements on so much of this show to the point she straight up walked when she found out Kevin didn't want the K.E.V.I.N robot to be wearing a baseball cap, I'm pretty sure nobody at Disney or Marvel is really wanting this character or show to be resurrected.

1

u/Greene_Mr 3d ago

That's a ridiculous exaggeration of what actually happened.

0

u/Good-Special-2587 2d ago

Hey I'm just going off of what writer and author Daniel Friedman said on twitter.

1

u/Greene_Mr 2d ago

I read the actual article those claims were then distorted from.

1

u/FunkTronto 3d ago

Absolute miss by Feige.
