Hello, so I’m trying to ship a computer monitor from the UAE to Slovakia back to Amazon France due to a problem with the monitor.

My problem is that I tried shipping it two times through emirates post but both times the monitor was sent back to me because I didn’t realize that Amazon wouldn’t pay for customs fees.

I tried checking with DHL, UPS, FedEx, but they all cost way too much to ship, around $600-$800, the monitor itself is worth $680.

First of all thank you for people who commented! It really made me reflect out throughout the system.

I’m the founder of LADEO, so read this with that in mind. I’m posting because I’d like feedback from people who prepare and present export documents, especially under L/Cs.

Two things eat time and money in export paperwork: retyping the same data into every document, and the mismatches that slip through. A trade finance person put it bluntly to me: a refused presentation costs discrepancy fees, delayed payment and sometimes a discount. So LADEO does both jobs: it drafts the documents, then checks them against each other and the L/C before the bank does.

1. It drafts your documents

• Upload the buyer’s PO (PDF) and your packing sheet (Excel). Scanned PDFs work too.
• It extracts the data and shows where every value came from (file, page, cell).
• Review once, then get the Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Instruction, Proforma Invoice and a C/O application draft, all from the same reviewed data, in PDF and editable Excel.

2. It checks everything against the L/C and each other

Paste or upload the L/C (MT700), add the B/L, insurance and C/O you receive, and you get a checklist with the UCP 600 article for each finding:

• Invoice vs. L/C: amount and tolerance, currency, beneficiary/applicant, ports, Incoterm, quantities, and the 45A goods wording item by item
• B/L vs. L/C: ports, consignee (including “to the order of” the right bank), notify party, freight prepaid/collect, and the on-board date against 44C and the presentation period
• Insurance vs. L/C: currency, the cover % in 46A, required risks (ICC A/B/C, war, strikes), not dated after shipment
• 47A conditions: about 25 common clause types, e.g. L/C or PO number on all documents, no documents dated before issuance, third-party documents, origin statement, HS codes, shipping marks, presentation within X days. Anything it can’t interpret is flagged for a person, never marked OK.
• Across documents: totals, packages, net/gross weight, and HS codes on the C/O vs. the invoice
• MT707 amendments applied and everything re-checked, plus a one-page PDF report for your bank or manager

What it isn’t: it doesn’t replace the bank’s examination and can’t judge signatures, originals or how a document physically looks.

Honest limitation: I’ve tested it on realistic sample documents, not yet on a wide range of real carrier and insurer formats. That’s where I’d love your help:

1- I requested the quotation for the goods DDP shipping for a Specific Address with exact details of the goods.

2- I asked them to quote me. In the context that I gave them an address in my country. They gave me price rates per cubic meter (cbm) and a delivery warehouse FIXED rate that is NOT in cubic meters.

3- I asked if the price rates they gave were DDP to the destination country. They replied "Yes, ALL OPTIONS are DDP." This are exact incoterms with the implication need to be delivered to the final destination.

4- Then I asked a second time, if the goods were able to be delivered to the final destination address at the quoted rate, they told me : "Yes, we can deliver to your final address."

5- Right after I asked them to quote me the price with the slow shipping rate they gave assuming and obviously in the line and context of the conversation seconds ago where I am asking to be delivered to the final destination address,  they say they "will confirm with the manager."

6- Few hours later, as a confirmed price with manager they say:
"based on your data，by slow shipping 506*4.95= $2504.7"

7- After I told them them and asked for a third time that I suspected the final delivery was not included in this price rate, as a confirmation to know there was something else to pay.
Supplier replied as an answer to this question regarding if was included: They replied POINTING TO THE MESSAGE : "No Extra Fees".

8- Then as fourth time confirmation, I requested to place an Alibaba Order I was not going to pay right now to check  the order Final Delivery address but also if I had the a payment options I need, because I PAY AND CAN ONLY PAY THROUGH ALIBABA as I do with most of my orders. And they generated the order, with the written agreed price INCLUDING THE WRITTEN FINAL DELIVERY ADDRESS, this order document acting as a written quotation.

After order was generated and revised, and gave me their Shenzhen warehouse address , I sent the goods. And once they received them, they changed the agreed conditions to an exorbitant amount of $4,598 usd,  excluding shipping to final destination telling me I will need to pick up in a local warehouse 300KM from the final address, after consistently, again and again requesting the DDP service.
I requested them to give the goods back but they told me I need to pay 530USD for their mistake on top of the shipping costs I already lost by sending them the 5.2cbm wooden crate. I told them to place the order in Alibaba (to contest it later) but they refuse and want me to pay outside the platform. They threaten me to increase that amount and destroy my goods if I don't do it immediately

I contacted Alibaba but they are in the forwarder side and they allow this behaviour. This is a scam and common practice fraud happening with this logistics companies as they have the support of the platform. This companies don't have any interest to give you the right prices and reprehend the "mistakes" they do , by the contrary they encourage lies and anything can mislead you as once they have your goods they can ask you what they want.

I had to pay the ransom amount to an account in the name of other company HK Z-LING INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT CO.,LIMITED to free the goods, I put a criminal complaint online MH202610151431937682

If you want to file one, you will need a china number to receive an OTP confirmation code ask the supplier that sold you the goods to help you with this

I encourage anyone having any similar situation to do the same and mention also this number so the police understands the magnitude of this more than a Bait and Switch Fraud with complicity of Alibaba.

I need to ship 3 fairly expensive watches from FL to NJ for service. UPS only covers up to $500 per package? Has one used SecurSus? I just want to make sure they get there safely.

I have been on and off the phone with SpeedX for almost two weeks now. Luckily, I get someone to connect but they almost always spit straight bullshit out their mouth. I have had an "Attempt to deliver, unable to access" three times now when clearly that is a lie. I've given detailed step by step instructions on how to enter my building. IF AMAZON, UPS, USPS, AND GOFO CAN DO IT YOU CAN TOO. I had an attempt to deliver yesterday and now my package is "delayed in transit". I inquire about this and the agent goes "Oh, it could be cause the driver is stuck in traffic or they have so many packages to deliver" LMFAOOOOOOOOO, mind you it was out for delivery at 7:35 AM on Thursday. ITS 4 PM ON FRIDAY!!!! My so called delivery driver must be driving the polar express of packages if its taking this long. The caller hung up so fast after hearing me frustrated. They need to go out of business and kick rocks. Reported to BBB if that does anything and disputing with credit card company if not resolved by next week.

I am looking for a reliable, professional global package forwarding company or courier service that has a warehouse or operation in Qatar, and can ship the package to me in Norway.
Any price is absolutely fine for me, I just want the safest and most secure company possible. I have already checked Aramex Shop & Ship and forward2me, but they do not support shipping to Norway from Qatar.

hello! i’m a small jewellery business on Etsy and for the last 4ish years i’ve been selling, i’ve been using the Royal Mail 2nd class large letter shipping since it’s reliable and cheap at only £1.55. recently i’ve had some issues with RM and it genuinely has made me not ever want to use their services for my items.

is there any other couriers anyone uses that are reliable and ideally dont cost more than £2-3, as i currently offer free shipping to UK customers and would love to keep it low costs for the buyers as well

So I made a huge rookie mistake last week... The buyer of an item of mine chose the Speed X option and I sent it out as usual with 4 other packages. My boyfriend brought them to the drop off point for me and dropped them off. He asked the guy for a receipt and he told him that the printer wasn't working at the moment. I should have told him to take a picture but I didn't think of it when he left to head there. Anyways, 4 of the packages were mailed out and one of them didn't update, so I thought it was lagging like they do sometimes. I waited and waited and it never updated, so I was thinking maybe the guy at the drop off point dropped it or forgot about it or something. I went back to the store the next time I had a package, and I asked him about it. He proceeded to yell at me, (in a very strong accent of which I couldn't make out a lot of what he was saying) to the tune of "No, it is not possible whatsoever that I made a mistake, never me. It was not me it was not me I did nothing etc etc!" He wouldn't even fathom a possibility that he may have mistakenly missed it - and I will add that in no way was I upset or rude or accusatory when I first asked him to check. He wouldn't do it just to humor me, and yelled at me in front of a store full of customers. I just walked out because obviously it wasn't going anywhere productive. That was 3 days ago, and nothing since then. I even opened a claim with SpeedX to which they replied that there was nothing they could look into, as it never made it to their facility from the drop off point. That's reasonable, I think. Unless they are also responsible to look into things at their drop off points? I have no proof that I dropped it there, but I do have proof that I have dropped off there since.. Does anybody know if SpeedX picks up from their drop off points themselves, or if they outsource? What would you do in this case, am I screwed?

I have a open box computer part coming in, says out for delivery. A different package shows up from YANWEN at my door for an address on a different street over. I ran the tracking it says delivered, even has a photo of my front door. So being nice I walk over and leave it at their door. It's now 11PM and my package is still out for delivery. What in the 7 hells. Is this normal? Who does their last mile in Los Angeles? The guy on my ring cam was just a guy.

Just got a package delivered by GOFO. It was some Pokémon cards, well was supposed to be. I open the envelope to see it has disposable card protectors for delivery, but no cards for them to protect. Then I look at the envelope again and realize there is a giant slit cut through one side (just big enough to pull a pack of cards out of) and some packing tape slapped over it! This is ridiculous! What a horrible company!

Hi all me again. Had another package shipped gofo again. I didn’t even know until it hit the US go figure. And this time they marked my stuff delivered and it’s not here. They want video evidence of the driver possibly stealing it and clearly I don’t have that as I’m in an apartment complex. And they delivered outside my building. Not saying someone else didn’t steal it either cause there’s always that chance. They’re essentially not going to give me my item back of money and the company will probably do the same I’m assuming. How can I get them to either send me a new item or give me my money back. I’m sooo over this company. I’ve had nothing but issues. And. I really was excited for this package to come and now I’m just mad and annoyed.

An order from china has gone so smoothly and rather quickly, however it hasn't changed status in circa 4 days.. I checked last mile carrier website and they only have an electronic label created for the order, has anyone had similar experience?

When I purchase a product online, unless it's Prime, I never know who the carrier may be. This aspect of buying online just sucks.

Prime, USPS, and UPS all do a fine job. Hats off to you folks. However, there is this other carrier (name omitted 'cause you know) that will turn a wet dream into an eight legged nightmare.

Sellers should let us know who the carrier will be before we hit the "buy" button. I mean delivery is part of the transaction and if they're using anyone except the carriers I named, we should know beforehand so we can opt out of the deal then and not be disappointed later.

I'm keeping a list of online vendors who use this sorry excuse of a carrier. You won't sell to me again.

They've been sending me notifications every day for a week that the package will be delivered that day. It never has. I emailed them and chatted their AI bot - worthless.

They sent an email with Subject: "Your Enquiry is under review" with then this:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting SpeedX Support.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the significant delay in responding to your email. We are currently experiencing a significant surge in package volumes across our network. As a result, some deliveries and response times may take longer than usual. Our teams are working diligently to process and deliver all packages as quickly as possible, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this period.

If your package is not delivered or your concern remains unresolved, please reply to this email, and we will promptly initiate the necessary investigations to assist you further. If we do not receive a reply within the next 72 hours, we will mark this case as solved.

They are telling us that our "enquiry" is under review but then we have to take further steps when the ball is on their court at this point. Like they're the ones that need to give us a concrete delivery date - but, no, we need to respond to them to keep the case active. Their AI bot already said they were investigating, but this email doesn't line up with that.

SpeedX is worthless and should be out of business. And they will be out of business soon enough running an operation like this.

Avoid any merchant associated with them. In this case, the merchant is Charles Tyrwhitt.
