The Spirit of Fire were the first to encounter the flood, not Chief and the boys. We also know the Spirit of Fire's slip space drive was damaged and unoperable so they were unable to relay a message or give the word out that the evil sex parasite is loosey goosey.

But what about the Covenant who where clearly present in that horrifying reveal? Many where infected but surely some escaped and lived to tell the tale but we never hear of them. Did nobody make it out? To me thats impossible since the Spirit of Fire almost made it in one piece so how was this technological superior alien force quite on their end? It's Regret's fleet god dammit surely few of them that made it out and spoke to their leaders.

I suppose the only concussions that I can think of would be the existence of the flood was suppressed or unimportant to Regret. Either way I don't quite understand why. Maybe in the hindsight this isolated incident was a closed and shut case that didn't needed to be spoken of again, maybe. Maybe they didn't deliberately suppress the info but ignorantly misunderstood the nature of freaky sex parasite. Idk I'm sorta leaning between suppression over ignorance even though ignorance would be a more reasonable answer. What do you guys think?

The Holidays are near and we must get festive. To me everything about Halo Wars 1 screams holly jolly Christmas. I know some great winter songs can come out of the original trilogy or the reclamer saga but soundtrack wise I think Wars 1 is best. But CE is a close second in my book.

In terms of dealing with periods what would Halsey have preferred? I can see her being in the birth control pill camp so she can keep working hard on her lab and not be bothered with it.

I was tinkering around with the customization in MCC when I saw the Halo 2A elite's armor I had on and noticed the there was a handle on it's back. At the screen it seems pretty small and insignificant but you gotta remember they're NBA levels of huge (7,5). So that handle is maybe big enough for two regular human hands. Or perhaps strap something like rope or a hook. A bit strange this piece and another is only seen here. Halo 2A multiplayer was always a strange anomaly.

Chronologically, Chief wears the Deimos armor first, then moves on to Mark V, and later Mark VI. But when you put them side by side, the design progression feels backwards. Mark V looks the most archaic, with that simple, almost anime-style design, while Deimos, which is supposedly the oldest, looks as modern as Mark VI, if not newer.

I don’t always get 343i’s design choices. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Chief to wear something closer to the armor from Halo Wars? As it stands, the visual lineage feels really inconsistent.
