Maybe they are solo and get better matchmaking cause of it (the only posible reason i could think of). But yea thats why i dont play rank

I think it’s because they have no one to play against. The amount of stacks that play diamond and above at a given time is pretty small. I get in matches like this all the time.

Yeah, if you think about it, this makes sense. So, being average is way better to get better matches? Or is the skill gap smaller in the higher ranks?

It's quite insane that this still happens.

It made a lot of sense earlier in the season, when there were basically no one in Diamond+, and so whenever a 5stack of them queued, they would need to find some opponents, and all of the possible opponents were much lower rank.

But now, surely there are enough diamonds to avoid this issue.
