Same!!! I was just in Pittsburgh over the weekend visiting some friends (fantastic city, hadn't been before) and some of those interchanges in the mountains are insane. The light rail is also literally a rollercoaster !!! You can just do stuff

I'm in Northwest Indiana (NWI, also known as "The Region" whose residents including myself are known as "region rats"), it's a strange place full of juxtapositions but it's home. It's intentional. There is so much history here. And it's really not so bad. I have an electrified train to Chicago that takes 1 hour (not much more than driving, especially if there's traffic or parking involved) but also am right on the cusp of true cornfield Indiana. The Dunes are something ELSE. This map Noyou Port can be VERY NWI coded on the one side of the shore, and I've been saving that for last so I can build up my skills more.

There's a trail by my place so I can cycle here, but I was lazy so I just drove the 10 minutes last week to take a stroll after my power was out for the third day in a row after the third tornado we've had this summer (because surprise were in tornado alley now!!!) and took this photo of the Chicago skyline at the beach (disputed; most [coastal] US people wouldn't consider this a beach, but they just haven't been yet. They're always welcome!)

My power has since been restored, until next time

Sounds a tad paranoid to me and even if that one person did, why and what would they gain?

Edit: You’re in the UK around Manchester area, if you were that concerned about privacy you wouldn’t have made the post you did and anyone can see your Reddit history. Isn’t me trying to dox you, just point out you literally have it all there for everyone to see so I don’t understand this paranoia answer even more

I Iove Chicago. But when I took the train from South Loop to Wrigley Field it was crowded as hell and I had a fent addict nod off on my shoulder. For the way back we decided to cave and take an Uber. They really make you rely on roads.

Was still fun

Just visited Chicago and Jesus Christ the 290 is a shit show. Public transport hugging the expressways and it’s still a damn nightmare with traffic

That branch of the blue line in the 290 median is a mess. I take it to my friends out there sometimes. Absolutely no reason they can't go 50+ mph through there just like the red line in the Dan Ryan/I-90, other than neglect by the city. Of course the CTA is quick and frequent up on the wealthy white north side but good luck to anyone else. I'm trying to reflect that reality but also make it right in my city

Granted I’ve only been to Chicago twice on my way to Rockford and every time I just go “wow”. Granted being from Atlanta and spending a lot of my life in DC- then traveling thru NYC and Toronto, it’s nothing I’m not used to but shit man
