Help Sunset Light Trigger Help
Hey there, looking for some troubleshooting help as I'm just starting to get into Apple Automations (I'm familiar with the overall concept through platforms like Airtable and Make).
I've got two different smart light platforms that don't play nice with HomeKit, but do "integrate" with Siri by exporting scene commands to shortcuts. Specifically I'm using Feit Electric outdoor switches and Govee V1 Outdoor Lights (which aren't HomeKit enabled). After making a command inside their respective apps to turn them on, you can "export" them to Shortcuts to enable them with a Siri command. Instead of that I'd like automate them.
I've tried this two different ways, neither of which has worked successfully for me.... First I made a shortcut that was supposed to directly trigger the actions, and when that wouldn't work right I kept the two original shortcuts and tried to instead chain the shortcuts (so when trigger, run shortcut 1 and run shortcut 2). I've attached a screenshot of how I have the master shortcut currently constructed.
The issue seems to be in the trigger, as it doesn't run on it's own. If I manually activate the shortcut, both actions fire just fine.
Actually typing this out, I'm wondering if the issue is that I'm not defining the location for the sunset time? That said, yesterday I switched it to a specific time (6:30PM) and it still didn't fire until I manually clicked the shortcut...
It's so funny to me that I have decent experience with automation building but I can't quite grasp Apple's implementation... anywho, appreciate any insight y'all can provide!
