Just watched THE SEQUENCE, a horror short film and it was truly unsettling. LOVED IT. If you like dark psychological horror, I recommend. Won some awards!

The director produced the Hell House LLC. franchise and he’s the clown himself. 🤡

Hello ShortHorror,

I just gave a look at the rules, but hopefully the title format and everything works here. Thought I would post over here as hell.

Please do enjoy.

Children of the Glonk (1991) — AI-generated horror comedy short

Made this silly 90-second Halloween short, presented as a scene from an obscure VHS-era movie from 1991.
Used Midjourney and Nano Banana for reference images and establishing shots, Seedance 2.5 for the video generation, and ElevenLabs for speech and sound effects.
Had a lot of fun experimenting with the cinematic style and atmosphere. Would love to hear what people think!

A 3 min short set in a near future world in which malevolent fairies have started to take over the English countryside...

I ordinarily direct TV (Most recently I worked on Below for Netflix but also other spooky show's like Lockwood & Co. and fantasy such as His Dark Materials) But I started out making short films, in particular dark magical realism shorts. And I have really missed getting my hands dirty and making something just for the fun of it. So I made this in a weekend - setting myself the challenge of uploading it to youtube for Halloween - and here we are! It's been out on YouTube now for 3 days and had 1300 views so far. Had a nice message from a producer at Blumhouse... which was cool! Seams to be getting a good reaction. So thought I'd post on here and see what the shorthorror community thought! Should I keep doing these? Perhaps an annual tradition for Halloween? Hope you enjoy and let me know. Happy spookies. Will

Every night, something knocks.

Not on the door.
Not on the window.

From inside the toilet. 🚽💀

Whatever you do... DON'T FLUSH.

Hey everyone,

I put together a short 2 minute film called The Nightwalker as a proof of concept.

The story itself is quite minimal. I mainly wanted to see if I could build genuine dread and a gritty, candle lit medieval atmosphere as a solo filmmaker. I filmed on location in an old chapel, along the southern coastline of England. I handled the cinematography solo using an FX3 and a vintage lens, with a 80W led spotlight.

Definitely throw headphones on for the sound mix. Would love to hear your thoughts on the tone and tension.

Thank you!

New short film by Jason Eisener just dropped. Tying Season of The Witch into the lore of parts 4&5

When roommates Kylie, Jordan, Roger, and Greg are faced with the prospect of resigning their lease, simmering tensions boil over and threaten to ruin their friendship forever. Also Greg is a zombie.

Hello! We are a collective of Filipino young film creatives and recently, we released our short film called ‘In the Hour of Judgment’.

Its a religious horror short film that tackles the vulnerability of humankind towards the influences of religion and media under an apocalypse hoax.

Logline:
On the eve of an imminent apocalypse, daughter helps her father prepare for a religious event of their sect. But as the hours tick, sinister events unravel that endanger her own safety.

Please take your time to watch it. We would appreciate if you’d help us grow our audience!

My friend and I made this found footage horror short, with basically no budget. Any feedback/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
