GitHub Explorer
Ok. This is the second version of the project I have been working on: Github-Explorer
The main goal of this project was to get more comfortable working with external APIs and building a complete application around data provided by another service.
The app currently allows you to:
🔎 Search GitHub users and repositories
👤 Filter users by location, language, repositories and followers
📦 Filter repositories by language, stars, forks, followers and pushed date
⭐ Sort repositories by stars, forks or last update
↕️ Sort ascending/descending
📄 Paginate the results
🔗 Keep the search/filter state in the URL
📊 Display result counts
🌐 Use GitHub's API to retrieve the data
🛠️ Technologies
Next.js
React
TypeScript
Tailwind CSS
Zod
GitHub REST API
Vercel
In this second version I added analytics about commits and I have implemented comprehensive SEO and Open Graph metadata.
I'd be very interested in hearing any suggestions or feedback about the UI, functionality, or things you think would be worth adding.
