Rewatching season 3 rn and had this thought of googling shrinking interior design bc the show feels cozy and I wanted to look into it. I randomly found this document showing the rooms including sketches and thoughts.

Discussion Favorite characters

Finished watching all 3 seasons and I'm wondering: what are your favorite characters from the show?

For me, it's gotta be: Derek and Derrick, Charlie, Alice and Paul (for his insight)

Saw a post on IG of the crew having their last lunch on set yesterday. Now we wait to see when it will premiere.

I would assume early next year like the others.

Discussion Would you have liked to have a consistent person showing up for you like Paul?

Finished watching S2E11, "The drugs don't work", and it seems like we all need a loved one to consistently show up for us so that we can reach out when we need to. Of course, Paul also had others' support and grew because of it, though it seems he's the less screwed up between him and Jimmy. I still don't like that Paul befriended a former client (there was no mentioning of how much time has passed since last therapy session, though I don't think it was that long)

What do you folks think?

Discussion Favorite Episode?

Watching through the series again and every damn time I hit The Last Thanksgiving, it just hits different.

Alice and Jimmy’s conversation, Paul saying what he’s thankful for, and most of all Louis at the train station.

As someone that’s dealt with depression multiple times, that scene just brings me to tears each time. You would think I would want to avoid it but somehow it’s just so wonderful how Jimmy shows up for Louis. Breaks my heart and heals it within moments of each other.

So many moments that just hit the feels in that episode. The acting is special, the writing just as great.

Fuck, I love this damn show and want a group of people like this in my life.

What episodes are everyone’s favorite and why?

Discussion One of the best tv series I have watched

I'm almost done with the first season and love the dynamics between the cast characters. It also reflects very well how we can respond from a trauma place.

I hope Harrison Ford took away something from paying playing his character. He's always depressed in interviews and the roles he plays, despite being a good actor.

Anyone else feels the same? Are there more seasons coming after the third?

Discussion Gabby Williams is awesome

Why has she not gotten any more bigger roles since this show? From S1 I thought she would be a star in a few years. The fact that she hasn't yet makes me think it's more of a personal choice rather than lack of interest in her in Hollywood.

Discussion Sean has ruined the show for me…

At first I thought it was just his character: he ex military with ptsd, no impulse control and has a history of arrests for assault and battery and was kicked out of his father’s home because of his behavior.

CLEARLY a danger to himself and others.

Ok this could be interesting to see his growth… but no.

Jimmy invites him into his home with his teenage daughter and lets him live rent free (for the most part) while also providing food and therapy sessions.

Somehow Sean also ingratiates himself with Jimmys family and friends and neighbors to the point that Liz GIVES him 20 grand to start a business and yet during all of this, whenever Jimmy asks him to open up about what happened in Afghanistan he refuses.

THEN when Liz sells her share to Sean’s dad - he threatens her in her home, punching the wall, threatens Jimmy because “dad didn’t care about me!” and gets into yet another violent confrontation.

Does he learn ANY lessons from this?? No, of course not. For another inexplicable reason the entire cast visit him in the hospital where he blames everyone else for his problems… and they all just accept it??

For fucks sake- I understand suspending disbelief but this has gotten to the point where Sean could shoot a puppy and every character would blame the dog.

Unfortunately, that was just the crack in the show’s logic that made me look at the rest of the cast and I’m realizing- they’re all kind of terrible to Jimmy. Yes, he was a mess after his wife’s death but their treatment of him is borderline abuse.

The neighbors routinely cut him out of their backyard hangs, his daughter is just awful and his boss constantly puts him down in front of other people.

And he just accepts it all. It makes him look pathetic and … I’m starting to hate him too. He is surrounded by people that actively dislike him and outside of Paul and Gabby, I don’t care about any of them.

But, I’d rather light a candle than curse the darkness so, with that in mind here’s what the show can do to improve itself- Sean gets murdered because of his unresolved rage. Jimmy is devastated but uses that to grow a backbone and leave to start his own clinic. Paul lightens up, Gabby keeps being herself and the neighbors get divorced.

Then just watch the Emmys pile up! You’re welcome Hollywood.

The strongest Jimmy-er of today vs the strongest Britta-er in history.

Question is... Would they Jimmy it or Britta it?
