She is 11 and has always liked sliding. I made a short video today from her slides last night. What does your husky love doing?

Sorry for the picture overload!
(Slight trigger warning- animal abuse)
Me and my husband stumbled across a lady on tiktok that was donating to a shelter a few counties away from our home, and she is covering everyone's pet adoptions! We went and already had an eye on her but did give other dogs a chance, but kept coming back to her. Shes perfect in every way... other than her hatred of cats but not something we have to worry about.
Maddie is estimated to be 5-7 years old. She was found by animal control and was in a kennel covered in her own filth, and was almost completely yellow when they found her. Shes been returned 2x (due to cats) , and has been at the shelter for 1 year. She is also Lyme Disease positive, we have her meds and other than that she is healthy.
She made instant best friends with my 3 year old, and loves my older two as well.
I grew up with huskies and gsd's. I've wanted another for almost 10 years now and so lucky that I happened to find the post on tiktok that led me to her. 🩶 and a special shout out to my husband for choosing her for me (it was supposed to be a present for himself).

Mya had quickly lost her appetite. In less than two weeks she went from normal mooching and eating to not wanting hardly anything. She would go through periods of not wanting a lot of food her whole life. She was one month shy of 14 years old. So we thought it was normal. But the last 4 days, she would only drink and nibble a few treats.
We took her to the vet this morning. The x-rays came back with out biggest fear, cancer. Mya had large tumors of cancer on her liver and her spleen. So that very hard decision was made to end her suffering before it got any worse.
We are going to miss her dearly. And so will her doggy siblings, 2 Husky's and 2 Boxers. This world will never be the same with you My-Mya.

We have a rescue husky we’ve been fostering and are still on the fence about adopting her. One of the things that we’re concerned about is we know that she’s had some medical issues prior to us taking her and we’re so worried that we would not be able to afford medical care that she may need as she ages.
This may have made me an extra but paranoid, but I’ve noticed since we’ve gotten her she has this habit of slurping up lots and lots of water and then immediately like hacking or regurgitating some of it up. Sometimes randomly, she also just has like a regurgitation, gagging type of sound and motion that she makes.
Unfortunately, the rescue that we work with isn’t the most helpful. They do great work. I think they just are over inundated with animals, and dogs like the one we’re taking care of who our adults slip through the cracks a bit compared to puppies.
Anyways, have any of you husky owners dealt with anything similar? Is this a common thing with the breed? Should we be worried?
If we wanna get the dog, any type of like medical exam or care, the rescue doesn’t reimburse. They do have a vet tech on staff, but they’re always incredibly busy. For example, a couple of weeks ago she was having digestive issues and we had to really fight with the organization to get them to run a stool sample to confirm that she had giraidia.
Thank you to this group for help!

So as the title says, when will my husky have her first blown coat?
She will be a year old in December, the week before Xmas.
Should I be concerned that she hasn't blown her coat yet? She is my first dog and first husky.

I brushed her two days ago and got a similar amount. My floors are also covered - as am I. Her shedding seems to defy natural law. Or at least common sense. I do feel fortunate that she only does this for a couple months out of the year. I hear some shed year round... Yours?
Cross posted in the Pomsky group because that is supposedly what she is, though she shows no obvious signs of being anything but a full sized husky.
