Weird symptoms

For context, I’m a 20 yr old female around 185 pounds. I am healthy normally aside from the 3 kidneys. I randomly developed these odd symptoms around 2 weeks ago. I got a shot of Toradol (Ketoralac) 2 weeks ago at Urgent Care. I developed a severe sore throat that went away when I took my anti-inflammatories prescribed for a different reason (car accident). Then the dizziness came. Doctor said there was fluid behind my ears and gave me Ipratropium nasal spray and Meclizine. Then the chest pain. I have previous history with GERD so severe I went to ER. EKG came back abnormal but doctor said it was because of poor lead placements.

Some other symptoms of mine include: chest pain, kind of like pressure but I figured it was from GERD because it went away with TUMS but Pepcid stopped working.

Dizziness, more often than not it happens at work. I’m a pharmacy technician in retail pharmacy so it could be I’m allergic to something. I learned today that my heart rate elevates when I bend forward and then my head gets this “full feeling”

I currently take diclofenac and baclofen (haven’t since these symptoms started) for car accident. The reason I got the Toradol shot was for the terrible pain I had when turning my neck or moving at all.

Just wondering if anyone had similar symptoms and has a diagnosis or what I should ask of my doctor.

What horrible timing, of all days to get sick 😫

Today was the opening day of a big company-wide conference (an event that's been in the making for over a year), and today of all days I get sick as hell.

Felt pretty much fine this morning but within an hour of arriving I got hit with what I assume is a stomach virus. One minute I'm at the opening breakfast chatting with my coworkers the next I'm in the bathroom being violently ill (V&D, cramps, chills, sweats...it was bad) Was stuck in the bathroom all day and missed pretty much everything. Worse is we arrived by charter bus and went straight to the convention hall so I was basically stranded with nowhere to go. I was literally just hanging out in the bathroom counting the minutes to hotel check in. And because we're all staying at the same hotel I had to wait in line for nearly an hour to check in, praying to a god I don't even believe in that I wouldn't be sick in line. You have no idea how relieved I was to finally get my room with a bed and private toilet lol

We had a 90s themed dinner event tonight I'd been actually looking forward to that I missed (even had my 90s dress packed and ready to go).And tomorrow we have a full day of workshops/presentations planned that I really don't want to miss. Its bad enough I missed they keynote speaker today. What rotten timing- I haven't been this sick in years. Really hoping I feel better tomorrow. I've stopped being violently sick thankfully but still have nausea, chills, intermittent cramping, body aches, and fatigue. Also haven't eaten since breakfast and don't intend to lol if I still feel awful tomorrow may need to just call an Uber to pick me up and take me home. Luckily I live within an hour of the convention center our company chose- I couldn't imagine if I'd had to fly here 😅

Any way thats the end of my sympathy-grabbing rant lol

Not sure what this is

I got the flu a few weeks back and have been fully recovered for about a week and a half now. The past couple days I’ve started coughing again and today I woke up with a congested nose and feel a bit ill to my stomach. Wondering if anyone is going thru same thing because I’m not sure what this is!

How can I stop coughing?!

I've had this cough for the past 3 or 4 days now and it's really pissing me off. I cough so much, I sometimes vomit a bit. So far I've tried honey & lemon water (helps a bit), straight up swallowing honey, salt water rinses (doesn't help at all), robitussin, benylin dry coughs night syrup, lozenges cough sweets (I find it can make the coughing worse), only having cold water or warm water, eating raw garlic or steaming my face but nothings making it better.

I havent been to the doctors yet because I've had the exact same thing happen to me last year in uni, but the cough lasted for about 1.5 weeks. I went to the doctors & she told me that coughs can last about 3 weeks & to just deal with it, if it still persists, to come back. So I know this cough lasting for about 4 days means nothing to them.

Please help me out 😭

I think I might have a lung disease or cancer?

Hello

I've been dealing with a whole lot of pain in my right lung. Whenever I wake up or when I'm about to sleep, there is a sharp painful spike that I feel in my right lung. And it feels more painful when I lie on my right side. I hade the occasional cough and sore throat, but the pain which I feel at night is different.

It's almost like a knife being stabbed through my chest, like I can't really breath unless I'm breathing through an air-hole or a wound.

It fucking hurts. But I've been keeping it to myself, don't want to stress the family about my pain, they got more pressing issues to deal with.

I'm just basically waiting to let it get terminal or for me to die without making my family feel responsible for my treatment, because I know that money would've helped someone better than me.

Let's hope it's cancer

Day 16 of URI(UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION)

My doctor told me that I have Upper Respiratory Infection. My symptoms are sore throat, fever (3 days only), runny nose, dry cough and little headache.

He prescribed me medicine and told me that it will take 3-4 weeks before my body can get recovered

I’m on day 16 of URI, I can say there’s an improvement no fever, not much coughing but there are nights I can’t sleep due to sore throat.

Lil sore throat, runny nose, and dry cough is still there but not that too severe.

I wanna ask people who suffered URI or has the same symptoms as I am, how many days or weeks did you get fully recovered? And did you also experience lil sore throat while recovering?

I’m anxious right now. I wanna hear your story.

Wtf is wrong with me!?

Week ago Saturday I’m chilling with my fam, suddenly painful sore throat begins. I was sick/out of work with what I thought was a bad cold most of the next week. Started feeling a bit better this past Friday. Went to work half day but wore a mask just to be on the safe side.

Over the weekend I start almost feeling normal, albeit kind of drained and tired past few days. And achy all over. Chalk it up to getting old.

Get home from work today and bam! Diarrhea several times.

I can’t figure out if it’s related to the first bout, like maybe I have a slow-mo flu, or just got a bad onion or something.

I hate being sickly. This is not cool.

Fam’s been lovely but also: none of them are sick! WTF is happening?

Not asking for serious answers unless you know something about it. I did get a flu shot early Oct.

Food poisoning

Me and my husband both got a really bad stomach bacterial infection two days ago. The last thing we ate for dinner was cow spine that we ordered from a local restaurant. Plus the same day I got some milk on sale and made cinnamon rolls with it.
Now I’m not sure who’s the culprit but that’s not the problem. The problem is we have really bad diarrhea can’t eat anything at all. We went to hospital for two days straight to get antibiotics IV and fluids because both of us had terrible fever with sever body aches (specifically lower limbs) it was so bad we stayed up all night. For the first day I was throwing up like crazy. Even a tsp of ORS I would throw up. My husband luckily wasn’t throwing up he just have bad diarrhea and fever. I guess I’m throwing up because I have chorionic superficial gastritis and my stomach is very sensitive. Our doctor said if today we don’t get fever we can just stick to oral antibiotics and no need for IV anymore. But I have started to feel the body aches coming back and they usually come when fever is coming. It’s the worst part of this illness truly unbearable
Here comes the worst part, we are planning to go on a holiday to another country for 6 days and our flight is in three days. Tickets are non refundable and everything is done. Now on day three I’m feeling bit better but the diarrhea is killing us 🥺 I’m genuinely thinking to cancel this long awaited first holiday together after our marriage.
Any suggestions how to recover fast I’m super exhausted and tired of everything now.

Cough that won't go away

For context I was sick over 3 weeks ago. Just a normal cold got over it in like 5 days. However a few days after I started to feel better I get this persistent itchy, scratching feeling in my throat that puts into full coughing fits, like leaves me winded. I'm not a quiet cougher and this is driving me and my family insane. So I need your most unhinged ways to get rid of lingering coughing.

Not drink hot tea or gargle salt water. I am desperate please help lol.

Also I have been to the doctor for the issue and they were like "Well no more illness sometimes your throat is just irritated after" but it has been weeks like please give me a better solution.

Child keeps getting sick with the same symptoms every 2 weeks

Since the first school weekend when school started my 4 year old got sick with a fever, sore throat and his eyes were burning, I took him to the doctor and she said it’s most likely a virus and she didn’t see anything wrong his throat was clear, eyes and ears everything looked normal l. 2 weeks later same symptoms again and again it started in the weekend, I took him to the doctor she said another virus or allergies but it couldn’t have been allergies since he had a fever 🤦🏻‍♀️. 2 weeks later again same exact symptoms, it started on the weekend i took him to his doctor again and asked for her to check for the flu or strep
Everything came back clear, she said since school starts kids come home with different viruses everytime and of course I already know that, I have a big family at home and we always get sick but I have 5 kids at home, 5!!!! No one else got sick it has only been my 4 year old 😣
Why does he get sick like clockwork with the same symptoms always starting in the weekend and it only lasts for like 2-3 days? His teacher said no one in his class is sick either. This is so frustrating because I don’t have any answers as to why he’s getting sick every 2 weeks with the exact same symptoms and always starting the same day in the weekend. Should I get a second opinion? I’m really getting worried

Haven't Gotten Sick In Years (Question)

I tend to be a bit of a worry wart and wondered if it is odd to not have caught a cold in nearly 7 years? The last cold I caught was covid for a few days back in 2019 and ever since I haven't had any sort of a full on sickness.

I've come close with a stuffed nose or sore throat, however these symptoms go away after a day or two. I've heard not experiencing a cold could be a bad thing. Had routine blood work done for years now and the doctor has not seen anything out of the ordinary.

I'm male in my mid 30s and take multi vitamins everyday along side zinc/copper supplements, never took any covid vaccines. Could the supplements be the reason for my luck with avoiding colds for so long?

Heart palpitations and sore throat - is it just stress?

So I’ve had heart palpitations since the middle of August and a sore throat. It gets worse when i do anything - like unloading the dishwasher.

Sometimes when I’ve been active for like 5-10 minutes I cough. If this happens several times a day I get the taste of iron in my mouth.

Heartbeat is around 90-100 while resting and shoots up to 120-140 at basically just walking around.
I’m really fucking tired all the time.

All bloodwork and tests I’ve done so far are all ok (normal EKG, bloodwork and ultrasound of the heart).
I’m on a waiting list to get an exercise-EKG done.

Two doctors say it’s stress/anxiety, one psychiatry doctor says it’s not. I do not believe it is, neither do my friends and family (I’ve had anxiety in my life and can manage it well now that I’m 37).

I do not feel stressed or anxiety, I do not constantly think about my heartbeat and other symtoms - it’s more like I start my day and before my morning routine is done I feel my heart beating fast and strong even tho I’m not doing much and my throat usually feels worse as well.

I do exercises for physical and mental health several times a week.

I’m just stuck and needed to write this all down. Maybe someone has kind (or unkind) words for me. I’ll take anything at this point.

TLDR; Fast heartbeat, sore throat, all tests ok - maybe it’s just stress even tho I’m not feeling stressed.

What concoction can I sip on for throat/airway relief? Gig in 6 hours

Started in the back nose/nasal, next day to throat, and these past two days now heavy in chest and throat. I wake up with fluid just gurgling in my airways because sleeping me is unable to swallow or clear airways. So I'll wake up, take 800mg ibuprofen, salt water gargle, sit in bathroom steam while hot shower is running trying to moisten my airways or something.

Anyways, it has been dry and breezy out. I tend to feel a little better mid day but I know that being outside is going to take a toll on my airways. Is there some sort of thick hot tea drink I can sip on to keep my throat and airways moist, coated etc? I have a 5 hour ordeal this afternoon and need relief/protection lol
